Faceless shambler doesn't say "Choose any other minion," targetted battlecries can't target the minion being played. Just say "Copy a minion's attack or health at random." You could argue it's unclear if it's saying a random minion's attack or health, but as soon as they play it and the target reticle appears, it's clarified, so it's acceptable.

The Rexxar Hero is lame. It's literally 6 mana to heal 5 and gain a slow, inconsistent hero power.

Wasting your whole turn 6 so that you can spend 2 mana to get a card that probably costs 4-8 mana and is very unlikely to have a game changing effect on the board state by itself.

In another class who could afford to play the control game yeah it could let you out value your opponent and win the long game. Problem is that Hunter has never been able to play control and never will be able to play control unless they just randomly give them shitloads of overpowered control cards this expansion. Which would just be bad game design.

You're not supposed to use it on turn 6, it's just an insureance in case the enemy stabilizes and your burn isn't enough to finish them off.
It's not a cucktrol card, because cucktrol Hunter isn't a thing.

Like, if you play in the aggro Mirror, you get to consecrate, gain 5, and potentially play taunts.
Against grindy midrange opponents or cucktrol decks that deal with your early game, you now have a tool to squeeze out some more win%.

It's gonna be a good card for midrange Hunter.

Pinging them for 2 to the noggin every turn isn't as good as it used to be against most classes, considering that often they stabilize at like 10 health with some form of healing / mitigation left in their deck, so you can't reallly waste your turns pinging and drawing your shitty low drop minions.

Minions are the best form of damage anyway, and with Deathstalker Rexxar you get to discover very good beast combos a high percentage of the time.

Remember that the opportunity cost of playing a single card in your deck is super low, and the potential increase in win % it provides in various matchups could be high enough.


If I had midrange Hunter built, I'd play like 10-20 games with some sort of substitute to see wether or not I'd want to play Deathstalker Rexxar in the situations if it were in the game.

Yeah because playing minions that are understated by 2 mana because you used a hero power to get them is so useful.

There are only a few combinations you can get from that hero power that are useful, the rest are just piles of stats that do nothing and aren't worth the mana you spent or have mediocre effects.

Like for 2 mana you get to draw a relevant card that you choose at a point in the game where most of your resources are depleted and your deck consists of shitty 1-4 mana minions.

It was the best video game move to be sure, but I wish they'd cut all the exposition dumps in half. We only really needed to know Gul'Dan = evil, Orcs = neutral, Alliance = good. Everything else can be inferred through character action, dialogue, and background inserts.

However, I can understand why they did it. Warcraft lore is so large that condensing it is a tough challenge. If they ever did a 40K movie they'd have a similar problem.
