The race battles are pretty buggy imo. I did it the human one for the trophy and it worked with luka and sonia as master homunculuses but I could not get the lamia one to work no matter what. Tried all 4 with the lamia base race, nope. 2nd tier and 3rd races, nope.

Although I remember noting that it's attack bonus was identical to the other stat buffs so that it's not actually all that useful since most buffs only last like 3 turns and you two of those are going to be using a charge skill and actually attacking so you only have like one skill to use a self-buff and it would probably better to use transform or the skill that grants the same attack bonus as Salamander while also granting a 100% critical rate or something like that

I'd say doubling the damage with a critical(assuming you're using a skill that can critical, most can) of your one buffed attack will probably be a lot stronger than the Salamander summon, but the Salamandar summon is more useful for mobs since you're probably not going to bother setting everything up like that.

Although, I forgot to take into account the 50% fire bonus Salamander grants. That might turn the tables(assuming your attack has fire element in it anyway)

All spirits grant a 50% damage bonus to using their element while absorbing the element when used on you. Sylph is +50% accuracy, physical evade and agility. Gnome is +50% physical defense and critical rate, and immunity to restraints. Undine is +50% dexterity, magic defense, accuracy, magic evade, and critical rate. Salamander is +50% attack power and 50% SP regen per turn

There are no buffs to the artificial ones, just debuffs to the enemies you use them on.

They're basically the exact opposite effects of the good spirits. They make the enemy weak against that element(take 150% damage), lower the corresponding stat of that enemy to 50%, basically drops their evade and critical to 0, and drops their evade by 30%(if said spirit effects those things)

Because Paradox 1 is WAY bigger than the VN, Dargoth also had some technical issues at the start because of TT's patches, and because translating the same game for over 1 year is really tiring.
I think Dargoth gets more shit than what he deserves, honestly. By the time RT came back, most of the story was already translated, so saying he translated 10% of the game on his own in one week is exaggerating. Also, Dargoth and RT have different ways of approaching the translation, as Artee himself said.
Don't get me wrong, if we could get a full translation sooner, of course I'd love it, but I understand why it takes so long and I won't complain about the wait. Doesn't change the fact that I really appreciate Dargoth, MGL and Artee's efforts, specially considering they're still doing it for free.

No loot at all. Just a mystery. The first island has the remains of an adventurer and the diary he left behind that speaks about an eerie monument. The second has that eerie monument (presumably) and the inscription on it tells a story about how these children were kidnapped by a circus troupe and that the bones that were found weren't enough for all the children that disappeared, so people were left wondering what happened to the other children who had disappeared.

The two islands were supposed to have been connected to one another, since the adventurer from the first island was supposed to have been able to walk to the monument he wrote of, he just couldn't leave the island at all and died of starvation. I'm assuming it was one island from another parallel world and that, when they were brought over, they fragmented and got teleported to different parts.
