Do fissures with relics you don't care about for forma and ducat fodder, enjoy choosing between your and your teammates drops. Hoard void traces to radiant relics you want the rare drops off of. (end of fissure void trace reward is random, but almost always higher then the void trace alert reward, so don't waste time with those.) For particular reward cherry picking; host or join radiant relic shares for the specific relic. Relics are like 1000% better then the old void key system except you will have to form premades for almost every endless type mission if you want to crack lots of relics. It's not about losing shields, it's about the fact that Penance buffs are a complete joke. His 4 buffs are shit as well. Reload speed + fire rate + unreliable minor crit chance buffs are in the same game as Chroma's 600%+ damage buffs, Rhino's 50% team buffs, Nova's double damage amp + slow, and Banshee's literal damage limit buff.

His 3 is good for energy but all that energy isn't worth shit when you have nothing worthwhile to spend it on.

You give pubs too much credit, by me not bringing a CC frame they die very quickly, even in sortie 1. I use covenant to prevent them from dying while also hitting the 3200 damage absorbed for full buff on my build. While in invuln I channel thurible, then leave it when invuln wears off to spin all my energy back and killing all the enemies that just downed the pubs in that second of them no longer having invuln. As for the 2m DPS, it's not some dumb meme, the way the additive crit works with maiming strike and blood rush you get 140% or 290% crit chance to get multiplied by your combo counter * 1.65, several melees will pass 2m DPS on spin attacks without needing to build combo for half a mission first.

I think you're failing to realize just how shit pubs are, or you don't realize covenant affects all team mates within shared affinity range (power range doesn't matter on it) and that the damage to them prevented by invuln is counted too so you have 4 sponges to soak up enemy damage. I've never had trouble hitting the cap in sorties, only on Hydron when I was leveling him, and even then the lowest I'd hit was 13%. Don't build any range on him, just use thurible and covenant, he amps the damage of stuff with high critical multipliers (like Atterax) to extreme levels.

Its my first Warframe I picked him in beta times, farmed Rhino recently but almost felled asleep playing him.

His 1 is still mostly useless (and I don't get why they didn't just add it to his 2 when they reworked it), but his 2 has lots of utility and fun.
