You mean this year, right? Those titles you listed all came out this year. But yeah. It's hard to tell what goes on as someone who isn't part of the industry but it does raise questions. I know she does stuff for Uncharted and I think that's pretty big, and she was also in Injustice and I know she also voices other superhero stuff. Superhero stuff lately is all the rage with all of those superhero movies coming out pretty much yearly.

Though honestly it's not just her. A lot of the VAs I grew up listening to are getting less and less main roles. Like I swear I heard Johnny Yong Bosch just voice some random background NPC in Final Fantasy XV. Same with Karen Strassman but in Persona 5. Though at least she and Yuri Lowenthal are good with Fire Emblem considering the former should pretty much always be Anna and Olivia while the latter is Marth. If your unit is a horse or is bunnymila, the 3* version works just fine, specially for the new modes and tempest trials

If your unit is infantry you want the 5* version, infantry bladetomes need the extra mt to compete with the insane levels of damage cavalry and bunnymila can get, but again a 3* version can work in a pinch, just not as good as cavs and bunnymila.

If you want the maximum amount of arena points possible always go with the 4* version

It's a remake, they just wanted a project that would be relatively easily (read not costly) to do. They didn't have to make another plot from scratch, most of the mechanical stuff could be reused from fates, there were few innovations when compared to OG gaiden. The highest cost there was probably the VA. Not to mention sentimentalist of one of the produceers towards og gaiden, so they wanted to be faithful to it. I honestly don't even care about how they handled Awakening for the most part. To me, the story was mediocre and the cat was pretty enjoyable. The marriage thing was ok too until they cranked the cringe up to 11 with Fates. I hated how easy it was to break Awakening as a game. Once you reached chapter 12, you could just pair up Robin with Tharja and proceed to solo the game. I liked CQ for the strategic gameplay and we'll design maps but the story was such an abortion and the cast was so bland that it was off-putting.

I hope they learn from both games when they make FE Switch
