Scene wise this game is mediocre at its best and inferior to every installment in this series.I don't know about the lore since I didn't play Part 2 but TrTr could have decided not to recycle 50% of the scenes, stop accepting rubbish monster girls with trash tier scenes and instead give the good artists more space, more scenes to the major characters and quality over quantity.

Nope, just my own translation of it.

Honestly a translator isn't needed for easy stuff like this, or heck most of Paradox with the exception of the more complex parts like White Rabbit's explanations, etc. That's where it's easy to get stuff confused when translating back to English since the wording is structured a lot more differently.

Not really. Aside from Reaper, White Rabbit, Marcellus, and supposedly original world Black Alice as well now, none of the major characters can or have actually travelled through time willingly. Even original world Illias could only reverse time for Luka, not travel through it. Loli Promestein is another example; she was forced into this era but she didn't actually do it on her own accord

The Tartarus pits themselves are of course an exception to this because they're formed by Chaos itself. And even then so far from what we've seen not all of them travel back in time either, only a few actually do and when they do it's completely random as to what time period they go back to.

No, it's not. I've held my tongue for a long time because I didn't want to crash the party but part 2 is a clear downgrade in content and quality from part 1.

The narrative is a disappointment compared to previous installment in that very little is resolved from part 1. The Lilith sisters and Seraphim are still at large, the motives of any of the factions are still unknown, and only one alternate universe is shown as compared to the three in part 1.

The gameplay I'll let slide since most issues I had were attributable to the translation, but the rebalancing of abilities has severely gimped some classes. While equipping certain accessories had mitigated the problem somewhat, I have to say I prefer the old system.

Pornwise, it's clear that Xelvy and UN_DO carried this part, with an assist from Arekishi. I don't particularly mind them and their designs are great, but I wouldn't mind a greater selection of artists.

If part 2 is supposed to be the largest installment, I'll set my expectations accordingly for part 3.

And from what Part 2's ending has shown so far, her existence in the Paradox world may not actually be necessary, which gives even less of a reason for White Rabbit to help Illias become whole again.

Original world Illias' death caused the Paradox world's creation. But her death also meant that any Illias that continues to exist in a parallel world is also an anomaly that will contribute to Chaos spreading eventually because her existence is no longer a part of the "true history".

Which is why White Rabbit isn't going to be helping Illias regain her full powers on a whim. Not unless there was a genuine reason to do so like stopping Chaos from spreading since that is her role anyway as Luka's "Guide".

Either way, since regaining her powers is out of the question now and with Paradox Illias' death having stabilised Chaos' spread, that means that the timeline no longer requires the presence of a Goddess Illias in any parallel world. So she doesn't really know what her purpose is anymore.

I think that all of this leads back to the foreshadowing of an existential crisis for companion Illias potentially forming a significant part of the plot in Part 3. Honestly can't wait for another one (or two?) years to see what her fate is in the end.

First off since i HAD to move character slots data doesn't transfer (not a problem if you're using a clean save like you should). But for those who aren't.. ouch, secondly it seems trtr changed the text format (or perhaps It was dargoth and I never noticed) but case and point being I have to resize all the text I wrote throughout the entire mod (it's alot more then I thought). Gonna have to bite the bullet on this one no way I can fix all this within an hour.
