I got my first classes to 75 today with all the exp boosts and bonus keys and such.

So, with Ep5 (and probably a new tier of weapons) looming, and this monumental task of grinding a 13* to +35 before me... does anyone know what's going on with 13* weapons with Ep5? Are they going to make them more accessible or less of a pain to grind?

Also, how the heck do you get lambda grinders? I must've had like 70 of them but I didn't know what they were for, so I used them all up maxing my skill rings.

We don't know how they're actually going to play out yet so affixing s-atk exclusively might not be the way to do it. Considering bossing is what matters most in this game there's a good chance it will but who knows, talis might cause an upset and be better in longer fights.

It scales down but not by a ton. If you're outside of expert blocks it could be faster to solo but if you have access to them probably not. Certain classes handle it better than others. If you play Su, Fi or Katana Br (and maybe sword Hu, haven't tried) you're in a good position. Bouncer is ok at it but nothing to write home about. Anything else I wouldn't really recommend it.

Depends on what you play. Like the other anon, even 150 is acceptable if you play something that isn't PP intensive. On the other hand, Force and Bow players tend to break 200 nowadays to be comfortable but you're asking for the minimum. I assume you don't play bow so do whatever you feel comfortable with.

Right now? Depends on the content. In pure bossing situations or pure mobbing situations force and summoner are close or better depending on encounter specific quirks. Fighter really shines in things like the current LQ which is a mix of bossing and mobbing since they're incredible at both. Fighter is by far the strongest class in situations like that, the fastest solo times all belong to Fighters by a fair margin.

After the ep5 patch? Fighter is poised to be the best currently existing class without competition, nothing will even come close barring hero since it's a wild card.

Can't really go wrong with any of them, exception is probably Salus and Elysion imo. H44 is still really strong E frame and with a cost down gaiden, but Spread Needle is stronger, I believe, and boosts chase damage, which is even better. Lavis and Lindblum are D frames for Fire and Ice respectively, hard to go wrong with either. Tenimusou for healing but that's largely irrelevant. Sacred Duster is alright, faster attacks, cost down gaiden, but less damage than H44.
Out of those in the picture (minus the lowest row) I'd probably go with Spread Needle and either Lind or Lavis

Monster Hunter has Adrenaline and Heroics. Skills that give multiplicative damage boosts at low thresholds, the first at 30% HP, the second at 10 HP or less (out of a maximum of 150).
Nobody ever complains about them because that game doesn't have automatic heals upon getting hit, a disable knockback button, or the ability to stack so much HP that nothing can ever kill you.

Team buff is a buff you can get from the team tree, it's a 20% atk buff at max level that lasts for 2 hours. PA boost is a sub effect to PP drink that acts as a 10% multiplier to your PAs. It's stronger than shifta ex by a fair bit but you have to reroll drinks for it. The best way to reroll drinks is to have someone on your friends list that has their room set to private. If you try to travel to their room it removes your drink but the loading screen ends immediately since you can't transfer. Lastly, there's food you can make in Franka's Cafe that give various stat buffs. I don't use them often but I it's +100 all atk and +50 health for 30 minutes. There's also food that helps with gathering.

Alright so I've been bouncing with the following setup:
0. Turn on Jet Boots Switch and Element Stance.
1. Start with Jet Boots. Enable Jet Boots Quick.
2. Gran Wave to get close (Deband Dodge+dash at end of combo to get Deband but stay nearby), Strike Gust Type-0+Shifta Stomp to gather damage and weapon gauge. When weapon gauge is full, Vinto kick. Repeat until JBQ ends.
3. Jet Boots Quick ends, switch to Dual Blades and turn on Photon Blade Fever.
4. I'm actually not too sure on DB PAs (i actually unironically used Justice Crow for a while). But one thing i found effective is the one where you make a tower of photon blades and crash it down, without moving and only costing like 20pp. Until you run out, then do the weapon action until you refill, then go back to that PA. Repeat until PBF ends.
5. PBF ends and JBQ will be almost ready to start again. Switch back and so on forth the rest of the battle.

I kind of wish they stopped shitting out a new class every episode and went back to give the old classes new things to play with. Bouncer still looks unfinished and several classes have gone nearly 2 years without anything but number tweaks. The skill trees are starting to fall apart as well since many of them are flat bonuses not worth taking any more. Fighter players have stopped taking much of the LB buff package in a time where they can LB more than ever. If Fighter players have dropped half or more of their points in the slayer skills, it can't be much longer until skill trees have zero choices left for many classes and we're stuck playing the same exact class for the third consecutive year.

Though I guess I should be thankful I don't play something like bow that might not exist next ep, no change is still better than that.

In high end solo PD solos (5 minutes and below), forces use around 7 compounds. Fighter is only like 45-50 seconds behind while the other melee are around 75-90 seconds behind at most. After the patch Force would only be able to do 2 compounds, not to mention all the dead time they have to fill when PPC and compound are both on cooldown and they need to do the force classic of "equip orbit/queen viera and run in a circle/shoot the boss with a gunslash" to regain PP a whole lot. I'm not saying the sky is falling for Force but saying they will still be insane is is kind of a stretch.

What other barometer do we have? It's not like forces are completely crushing the meters in Mother/Deus to the point where compounding 1/3 to 1/4 as often wouldn't turn them into a below average class. People already complained up and down about force being boring and they're losing one of their only tools without being given anything new in return. I don't know about you but alternating between spamming ragrants and running in a circle with orbit for 90 second intervals sounds pretty dry even to me. I would 100% be ok with force being bouncer tier dps if they actually made force more fun to play. But they didn't, so force in ep5 looks like a clunky, immobile squishy that gets to spam ragrants and that's it.

-Master Shot is already one of the strongest bow PAs but you don't use it because the hitbox fucking sucks
-Tritt Shooter would still be useless even if you more than doubled the damage because of how bad the animation is. Type-0 is better but now it has the problem of not being able to hit weak points at all unless you're right on top of the boss and even then it can miss because of how spread out the shots are.
-The main problem with Gravity Point has always been how tiny the suction is and they're not fixing that so the buffs don't help much.
-Banish arrow nerf is self explanatory, damage nerf AND PP increase is brutal

The animation recovery lasts a very long time, you need to step cancel it most of the time which locks you into bow's god awful step attack unless you jump cancel or snatch into another PA. Just kind of clunky to use when you aren't left completely alone and bow has too many of those already. Probably gonna be one of the best PAs for bow in ep5.

We don't know the numbers on the damage nerf for banish but considering PP is being increased for SB-0 and Banish I am extremely nervous since bow is already a PP intensive class with pretty demanding break points you need to hit. I know why they're nerfing bow since they want to tone burst down but it's not like bow was a dominant class or anything and it's highly unlikely we aren't just worse in ep5 unless they go crazy with the million storm buff and normal charged shot buff.
