I never noticed how small she is.

So i deleted my shitty youtube game version and did things properly following /vg/ steps. so far things look good, the game and editor seem to run. The only weird thing i get is a pop up window called "bones" every time i switch scene, start a conversation or open the cloth wardrobe. The game crashes if a mess too much with that window.

I read the FAQ of the game installation and didnt find anything about it (probably because im too stupid to know what to look for).

Sounds like you have a shadow set overriding the file. Do you have any extracted pp files (the folders) in your data folder? Working ones in an enabled shadow set? If you do and they're overriding her hair with a blank, there's your problem that would only happen when AAU is open.

A poser, first off. Poses can be saved and shared.
In sex you can activate a POV mode with a button press.
Rape is changed so if an NPC tries to force you "No" means "Yes" (you cannot decline rape), and the sex is compeltely controlled by an AI in AAU. You have no say in what happens while being raped.

The maker component allows for stuff like including mod files in cards, and changing out basically any material for a girl with any other file, and it's unique to that one girl.

I'm trying out the hair gradients thing but I honestly have no idea how the colors work. I put one gradient but it just becomes white 90% of the hair colors then looks good for two of the hair colors. I make the gradient darker but then you can't see it. I make it lighter then it becomes too strong or white. Playing around with it more just makes me more confused. I don't know what I'm doing.
I just wish the gradients was on top of the texture rather than adding to it.

cuck explains how it works in his guide. Basically you add the underlying texture's color components to the current color. So if your gradient texture is Green(#00FF00) on the tips and you make the hair Red(#FF0000) you'll get Yellow tips(Yellow is #FFFF00), If you make the hair color Magenta(#FF00FF) instead you'll get White(#FFFFFF) tips.
You can get any color combination you want but for some of them you'd have to find the gradient+hair color combination for it. If anything you can just burn all your coloring into the texture and just set the hair color to black so it doesn't affect your hair texture.

I updated my nvidia driver to some latest one that came out 3 days ago and now nothing is working, nothing pops up when I double click the launchers for aa2play or aa2edit. The process immediately dies, no error message displayed. Anything I could try to get it working again?

Hmm I think I understand how it works a bit. I did see the guide about the underlying color and was confused about why the gradient was always becoming white with most hair colors. But what I noticed is that the gradients also don't work so well with bright or lower saturated colors as well.

Also, opening up nvidia in control panel gives me this error "You are not currently using a display attached to an NVIDIA GPU", the driver update first happened automatically through that bullshit autoupdater that nvidia installs for you, but then I re-did it manually, but it still doesn't work.

one neat trick the pre-colored hair textures allow you to do(tho it's probably useless for your preferred color palette) is that you can make the shadows darker; so they contrast more with the hair color. To do that you have to pre-color the hair the color you want and then set the actual hair color to something dark. Adjust the underlying hair texture's brightness to get the desired result.
