Practice helps. When I first got the game I couldn't trust my aim at all since the performance was so bad and I was so nervous. I got a lot better by playing a few quick matches at the military base just to break myself in to the game.

I feel like that would be a much worse choice because even when you lean out you'd have to expose a lot of yourself to not have your gun collide with the corner of the wall, and at that point you're standing still in an extremely predictable position. Suddenly moving at high speed strafing is a very good way to throw his aim off which should give you the time to finish him off. The problem here is that his enemy also had a shotgun and was shooting in hipfire, which is extremely easy at that range. If they tried to ADS they'd be dead.

The ones that hurt are the ones where I outplayed the guy and got fucked over by circle RNG or poorly coded frags.

Once, I was stuck in a field with a guy who had cover, and I threw 4 smokes all over to create confusion and flank him. It worked, the guy was lost. Found him behind his rock looking the wrong way and I tagged him once in the head and twice in the body with an AK. He hid behind his rock and I dropped 3 frags at his feet while he medded, none of which killed him even though they were up his ass. Then the circle popped on him allowing him to 3d hide behind his rock while I had to leave cover, and he spray n'prayed me. 8 layers of bullshit.

But most were guys just outshooting me. A few of those have been me lining up the bead of my kar98 on a guy's head and then getting 2 tapped in the head by his SCAR/AK or whatever. Those don't bother me.

Guns treat broken windows as if they weren't broken. This is probably due to there being plenty of windows with bars. They'll probably add exceptions for non-barred eventually, unless nobody has brought it up to them. After all, they do it for doors already. You can't not effectively at least. Best you can do is use single shot unless they are right next to you. The UMP is also great in single it's just most of the time if you are using it it's gonna be in a situation where you need full auto. I think the reason I'm constantly getting startled is this game has no music, and guns at close range are accurately loud. When your clearing a house which is already tense, and get killed instantly by a loud shotgun which also causes the screen to shift away suddenly, all together its just very jarring to get killed in this game because your always on high alert.
It's like I'm playing gun FNAF where everyone is Freddy.

Is there something special about which scope you chose per gun and the default zeroing? I Fired the Kar at someone's head with a 2x who was standing still and couldn't have been more than 200 yards away. They had a LV 2 helmet but I saw no blood affect and the shot appreared to completely miss. I had the green dot right at the top of his head.

In solo the ideal situation is no one ever figuring out where you are and letting everyone else kill each other.

You'll be stocked on ammo and meds with undamaged armour whereas people who fought to the end may be lacking in supplies (mainly meds) and be damaged.

But this isn't really the most engaging way to play the game, I personally just a set a course within the circle and move as tactfully as I can keeping an eye out for people who might be coming my way.

I just join a discord with my normal set up, then before running pubg I go to my recording device options and set my default recording device to sound mixer. When I run pubg, it will use my default recording device which is now whatever sound comes through my speakers.
