Battle of the Century

I was ready to use my CS before the battle start since I don't have reliable Assassin except Lvl 90 Jing Ke
But her NP manage to finish one full bar of Megalos, surprising myself
Under developed D'eon also did a very nice job with his/her taunt, Waver and support Shuten survive pretty long thanks to him/her
In the end, no CS was necessary

Haven't had fun as much as this from a boss battle for awhile

It's less that Beowulf has no skill at fighting people, it's that he has no skill at fighting people with his bare hands since he only fought unarmed against Grendel in the legend. Li baited Beo into a fist fight, and Beowulf hadn't destroyed his swords yet, so he couldn't use Grendel Buster either. Basically everything went to Li's favor in that fight and he still didn't win, all he did was stalemate Beo and keep him from landing a good hit.

The Martha thing is mostly a gag, it's not worth kicking up a fuss over.

Its a story element that people immediately latched onto in the wrong way, and still kinda do.

Beo is a brawler who fights dragons by pure strength, not known for his technique but rather monstrous strength. Martial artists are people trained to fight other humans specifically, martial arts were created in order for people who are physically weaker to beat people who are stronger by having greater knowledge of form and technique. You can overcome physical disadvantages with proper technique, although there is a limit. Even then it didn't really sound like they really hit each other much, just that Li was dodging him. And Li was on his last legs by the time he made it back to Scath after fighting the pillars.

Martha isn't so much a gag anymore, its just that there's a secret art of saint fighting style passed down through the generations starting from Jacob. Who once fought an angel all night. Even from Martha's original appearance it was said that she beat Tarasque up with her fists in order to tame it. I think Nasu decided on this characterization based on a certain pun though, but it is canon and not a joke at this point. The lines between joke and canon in TM is less than paper thin.
