Poison strike has value because an archer that doesn't double things does generally mediocre damage in a meta where most things can retaliate anyways. I think Oboro was more popular with older fans of the series, so when CyL rolled around and they had all the characters from the entire series people kind of went "eh I like Oboro but I like these characters a lot more" and voted for them instead.

I think a similar thing happened with the Anikis, (at least in supports) they have designs, personalities and mindsets that would probably appeal to older fans over newer ones who like characters like Takumi/Leo more.

Myrmidon-type units are generally shit in heroes because they don't get either of their primary gimmicks and are compensated for in mediocre ways. Lyn's gimmick now is stacking buffs when she's below 50% HP, which can make her a situational powerhouse, but being a fragile melee red with low damage outside of near death hypermode renders her gimmicky and generally poor.

Lucina is a Falchion user, which instantly makes her good because the Falchion itself is basically a unique team role. She has an amazing offensive stat spread that makes her a generally great frontline red with no gimmicks required and can be built as a healer without compromising her offensive role, thanks to falchion's innate self-heal. She's probably the best of the falchion-users, which renders her one of the top overall reds.
