I did some more research and saw that it kinda does. That was how I rerolled, but I didn't see how that would keep my account safe.
Turns out that the only way to protect your account is to set up a password that expires after 90 days that you can type in and get your account back, same as you would if you were transferring. JP doesn't HAVE anything to link your account to, you just have to reset the password before it expires.

The story gets better, or so I'm told, but the gameplay is a monotonous turn based jRPG slog with no inventiveness, no mix ups, no combos or anything, just tap all your skills, tap 3 cards, repeat.

This was my original plan to kill him and it would have worked eventually, but I remembered back how much Alph trivialized the FFVII Torment, so I tried that strategy and it worked after 4-5 reloads.
I honed the Wind ninja 5* for OK and gave him Ninja DMG+40% and Full Break.
His OSB did 19k with his Ssb debuff on.
When I did the OK BSBRW rout it did 50k.
Faghamut counters Ninja magic too, only summons are excempt.
Reflect on him after he casts the first Curaja is really helpful.

Dirge of Cerberus was some garbage shit but if they actually did Dragoon right it would be amazing and they in general are one of the most iconic and recongizeable things in FF.

Imagine a Jump system where when you hit Jump you soar up into the sky seeing the battlefield from above and at the Apex of your jump as your character (a variety of the primary dragoons from the various games) slowly makes the turn to start descending time slows to a crawl exactly like when you hit the roulette wheel in GODHAND and a selection of your available jumps like various elemental ones etc, comes up, you select one and time snaps back to speed as you hurl downward.
