If you want something a little more light-hearted, but still with enough seriousness to be a respected story, Kindred Spirits on the Roof is a mix of several lesbian love stories where the relationships are developed very slowly and the characters do question their own sexuality/etc. While not entirely in this category, SubaHibi is one to look for since there is homosexual exploration.
And if you want something that is just incredible queer fiction and will really make you think about the topic, House in Fata Morgana.

The real origins of this behavior are rooted in both 4chan itself and in the other alternative venue of the day, PHPBB and vBulletin messageboards. They further stem back to newsgroups where all the same conventions are in play.
I can literally provide thousands of posts showing all combinations of spacing, but most have a space after quotes, a space after post links, etc.
But it was never a culture defining thing, just not something anyone cared about.

My release predictions as of right now are kind of hazy. ImoPara 2 is a very likely July release -- it's almost done editing and Doddler has already done the engine work on it. It would be a quick transition.
From there it gets difficult. MG likes to spice up genres between months, and we have a moege coming out this month. Depends entirely on the title. SukiSuki is taking so long because there's some engine problems or something. Dal Segno, on the other hand, took, what, less than a month? Also, ImoPara 2 runs on the same engine as the other Moonstone titles like PE. They already have experience with it and the issues therein.

I enjoyed them, it was good to hear what the devs and VAs thought of the game they were making.
Unfortunately the VA comments were a wall of text with a voice over in the background. Which is fine but the screen remains locked until the VA is finished, which can take a while and is a time waste if you read fast.
On another note, Nemu's VA says this in the comments, which doesn't seem to line up with her career proper, she seems to have done a LOT of games.

You forgot Kuroinu Chapter 2 which is also in beta. That seems likely to be released before Maria. There are a lot of projects that are already 100% TL'd and edited if you include the secret projects (9) and adding up Imopara makes 10. Assuming 1 releases every 3 weeks, only 8 of those will be released by the end of the year with the last game releasing on the first week of January. I either wouldn't expect Funbag Fantasy or Sorcery Jokers until next year, or for Mangagamer to increase their release rate. Assuming the games are disparate genres, an occasional 2 week gap probably wouldn't be too bad.
