there's a few areas you can grind mobs in the lower/mid 40s that relatively few people go to. You can find the locations on various youtube videos people have made. However questing at all after 35 means you're guaranteed to be constantly in danger of getting ganked by level ?? undead rogues because every undead player is an edgy faggot

Duskwood is easy.
You get a slingshot of xp at the end of 20s and into 30th level by doing all the quests in elite dwarves in wetlands, then you do the stockades then you do gnomer and then elite quests in duskwood and you're in your 30s. Then you do a bit of Desolace and a bit of Arathi until 35th level. At 35 you can get a group and do the elite quests in arathi, finish the main two quest chains there and maybe do part of the myzell shard quest. Finishing Deso isn't easy for all classes but at 35th level STV is less of a pain. You do a bit of STV to 37th level, then finish desolace and start badlands. If you're a warrior, paladin, or a rogue, you want to do the SM quest chain. Shaman as well in TBC for Bonebiter. Finish all the stuff you want in STV now and you're gonna be 40th level with a few SM runs like nothing. After that Tanaris first, Uldaman at 42nd level and then ZF right after. Do the long chains from hinterlands and tanaris. If you're stuck, feralas is there to help. The real issue is what to do at 46-47 since you're too low for ungoro but you've done most quests in tana, feralas and hinterlands. That's the tough part. Once you get to 50, Un goro and WPL will make it ezpz to get to 53, 54. Then you start doing Onyx prequest in vanilla. For tbc, grind awaits.56-60 or 56-58 is a bitch as well

i think the general experience is more pleasant but when stuff is broken on those servers it's fucking painfully broken.

The loken / thorim questline final event can only be completed by one person each time the server restarts for example.

Also the worst thing is that to queue into random heroics you need an average item level of like 194 which is functionally impossible without being able to queue into heroics already, so you've pretty much gotta farm gold and do all sorts of dumb bullshit to get that item level up. I remember wearing 90% int leather on my rogue to be allowed to queue.

Hey, I haven't been around for awhile and I know this isn't completely related to elysium but I'm guessing there is some overlap.
Is there a /vg/ discord for gummy or anything? Or even just a /wpsg/ discord?

I played on nost, k2, and elysium briefly (was getting pretty burnt out on vanilla honestly, almost came back for AQ on anathema but real life stuff, etc) but I've never played with your guild, so hopefully this won't look like bait. I rarely pop in here.

I ran some dungeons early on during nost but not sure if any of the same people are even still here. No big deal.

Since nost got so big and all the press from the shut-down, blizzard meeting, and then the porting characters to elysium, private servers are getting mainstream gaming press now. Not sure if that's good or bad or doesn't matter.

Blizzard won't shut down Gummy's. The didn't predict the absolute fucking shit-storm that Nost giving into their c&d would cause. They are very unlikely to risk it again. The amount of coverage that the nost shutdown got blew up in their faces BIG TIME.

Even if they do attempt to shut it down it will still only be good for legacy servers as a concept. Blizzard has no winning move. They don't shut down gummy's, it grows and gets massive.
