I'm remembering how fun Latale's action-y mechanics are.
Also loving the new moves that weren't there when I played years ago, like Explorer's heavy+light dagger attack combo to move forward and then back. And then you realize more subtle stuff, like if you hold the opposite direction that you're facing after the heavy attack, the light attack reverses direction so you end up thrusting forward twice in the combo.

One thing I noticed about Papaya LT is that the stuff you get out of those level up boxes that you receive from 1-200 are different than the OGP version. I wish I had recorded all the rewards from the OGP one but I notice some different things like getting a Baby Direwolf form the boxes instead of getting a Blue Dragon. I also noticed how you get Beginner Mutation stuff from the boxes in this version.

I was wondering that, too.
Honestly, the early game is way too fast. It's great for people who have done it before, but it feels like all of the magic I felt from getting through the initial 30 or so levels was just gone this time.
Nobody likes too much grinding, but these first 30 levels have definitely been the other extreme.
I haven't even bothered to check half of my skill and upgrade shit because the game's still tugboating me through so hard that I can't see a reason to bother.
It's kind of like, 'Where'd the magic go?' granted, still having some fun regardless.
