I am a little over halfway through Libra of the Vampire Princess and so far I am enjoying it. I would give it a 9.5/10 but since there is one thing that I cannot stand, I will be forced to drop down to 7/10.

It's because of the pathetic protagonist Shuuma. He is such a coward and he clings to staying human. He acts like a pathetic child and it really gets on my nerves sometimes. I don't understand why anyone would make such a pathetic main character but oh well.

If you don't like visual novels with pathetic protagonists, then you will want to steer clear of this one because it may just very well be the most pathetic protagonist I have ever read about and that's bad because I have read some pretty pathetic protagonists over the years.

Other than that, the story is great, girls are cute and overall it is a decent visual novel but I take away points for the protagonist. They should have made him a cool vampire that is strong, not some childish little bitch who whines all the time and relies on girls and gets them to do everything for him.

I had a look earlier to see if I could extract the scripts but none of the existing tools that work with the qlie engine seem to be compatible with the full voice edition I downloaded. Would either crash or error out. The closest I got was using https://github.com/lioncash/ExtractData which would show there is stuff inside the .pack files but some of it was gibberish and also refuses to extract.
Also random note, it is apparently the same engine that Koiken Otome uses but I guess it is a slightly newer version that isn't compatible with current tools.

Just read the three you already opened.

I just finished G-senjou no Maou.
The last scene was pretty nice but I didn't really like the Epilogue that much, it felt kinda rushed in comparison. Also I was expecting something else than cutting all his ties and an 8 years time skip. Well, at least it's a good ending.
I'm not sure if it was the translation but the writing felt inconsistent at some times.

I finished my first route of Libra, Calen's. The common route really betrays the story. There is a story here. It's standard chuuni fare, nothing special in that regard but for something I thought was going to be a pee nukige, they sure did pack a lot of fights and exposition in there. There's also this pretty good twist I didn't see coming. Calen herself is pretty great. I think Mari and her are the best girls.

I just hope this isn't one of those things where I got lucky with the first route like Hatsukoi

Also even though I'm doing only one route, I am maybe 70% sure that this is actually one of those things where it's better to go in a certain order because they show a lot of things that seemed to purposefully not be explained. So as annoying as the TL is, I'm actually sort of legitimately interested in the story so let's see what happens
