Don't. I may have a link somewhere, but it's not worth it. Apart from the GBA version being inferior, VC will delete your save when you try to quicksave, which is going to be required. If you want to play it I suggest BRT.
If you have no better option (can't do it on a PC, don't have a flashcard) I'd suggest you to play with nds-bootstrap actually, as it's one of the few games it actually runs well and it doesn't have the quicksave problem (if I remember correctly, and I'm pretty sure I do, I'm still checking though). The loadings are a bit slow, but it's still the better option compared to RRT VC.

The dungeons are great. Recruits aren't the problem, the problem is that you can't send them home after you recruit them. Either way, it's something you end up ignoring in both games. It's too tedious in Rescue Team and it's plain boring in Explorers. It only makes sense if you want a specific Pokémon (and in that case you're only going to use them in the level 1 dungeons, or are you going to tell me you actually like grinding? you're better off with custom starters in that case. and about level 1 dungeons, you'll probably end up using the same few Pokémon everyone uses anyway.
And complaining about legendaries not being guaranteed is the same as doing so with any other Pokémon, really. Gates to Infinity and Super handled recruiting way better than both of them.
