No, my actual favorite game is Shadow the Hedgehog. I think it's not even remotely bad as people meme about. Just immerse in the edge, and enjoy some really fun, often vibrant levels, kick ass music, and decently fun gunplay. Almost all the missions were good with some nice replay value, and sure theres a few missions and bosses that are going to come up repeatedly if you want the full experience, but I had an entire summer to kill, and I liked it.

Better multiplayer than anything we've ever had before too. And that's not saying much, but it was actually balanced and playable, unlike the Adventure games.

Also, its got that Heroes/Forces thing going on where the side-characters actually exist and communicate beyond help tips or cutscenes, so I appreciated the cgame for the autstic character development side of things.

Especially that final stretch in the Neutral playthrough where the last two missions & boss are a Shadow/Omega bro-op revenge mission against Eggman. Golden.

Post dreams you had about Forces. Classic Sonic lived in a Boom-like village and you could explore a 3D open world. Tails and Amy were reading the book but then Tails got sucked in, so Classic ends up looking for him.

Whoops, just remembered. Pressing B after doing tricks just ends the combo, doesn't matter about the direction. Pressing R up will give Sonic a little extra boost upwards in the air, while left or right R will send Sonic dashing in that direction with his leg sticking out, which can damage enemies or break walls like the ones in Leaf Storm. It's good for keeping up momentum.

Pressing R in the air without tricking will just give you a little air boost or even homing attack enemies if near them.

It's not. I put on a 10 hour loop of the instrumental of the kingdom hearts prelude, I put my headphones in, and then I close my eyes and go to one of those places. Sometimes Sonic comes by, other times he doesn't.

When I feel lost I always go to him and he usually gives me a perspective from his own feelings (how actual sonic would feel) or he tells me what I'm not willing to accept. As in I'm in denial and he will bring it up and tell me I'm in denial, and I cant avoid it.

Also, worthy to note you can do tricks while you're grinding. Press R while grinding.

R + sideways will make you gain speed rapidly during in the air from a spring jump. It's useful to attack robots on your side, but not reliable for finishing tricks. Blaze is better at this than Sonic.

R + upways will make you gain a little more height. Useful for reaching higher places and gain more time to do tricks, but not for attacking robots above you nor finishing tricks. Again, Blaze is better at this than Sonic.

A while back, long before Mania was announced, I was daydreaming about a hypothetical "Sonic 5". You know how there's South Island and Westside Island? The plot would be that Eggman had taken control of North Island, and you would go through Eastside Island first to get to his base. I thought up a few different zones.

Aquatic Forest Zone
Kind of like Wood Zone, but with a big piping system running water through the forest. There would be underwater parts in a big lake, and waterslides down hollowed-out logs.

Sunset Resort Zone
A big seaside amusement park complex at sunset. Act 1 would take place on rollercoaster tracks along the beach, and Act 2 would be inside a massive hotel/casino/shopping mall building.

Neon Relic Zone
Ruins of a technologically advanced ancient civilization buried in a deep jungle, lots of alien-looking pyramids with pulsing lights and steel piping. Act 2 would be inside the main pyramid with lots of gizmos like Metropolis Zone.

Coastal Highway Zone
A high-tech road system over the ocean, winding alongside glass and chrome skyscrapers. The fastest zone in the game, and how to get to North Island.

Egg Island Zone
Forces is doing this with Green Hill, and I guess Mecha Green Hill did it years ago. A tropical zone being taken over by Eggman, using a machine that turns organic plantlife into machinery. As you progress, wires and cables start winding around the trees, and pipes and metal plates start rupturing the ground. The music would change dynamically to become more electronic/industrial sounding. Act 2 would be ascending Eggman's tower base, and at the top, you'd board his space station for the final zone.

Another trick for pros: With Blaze, using her side-finishing trick and aligning it perfectly with the ground, such as a floating platform, you can get a crazy speed boost. I've only gotten it to work a couple times, though.
