Northern Realms is truly the worst faction in everyway. Terrible, boring leaders which guarantees when you'll use them.
Have Foltest? Better use him turn 1 or 2 or lose all value?

Machines are pretty useless and require way too much setup in order to do anything

Reaver hunters kind of work but only because they are overpowered and will be nerfed again

Infantry is also terrible as a long epidemic/scorch/igni will wipe out half your deck

Radovid control is ok, but Baron is bugged so you spend half the game fighting your own deck

The Mulligan in any NR deck is always a nightmare. Most of their power comes from neutral silvers. I guess the easiest change is to make trios proc without having to be on the same row. Or does this make them too powerful?

I'm missing two golds and most of the silvers for an NG deck I want to build, I assume it's more useful to get the silvers now and then save up for golds?

winning the round where you drop your hunters I get it, but winning the other round seems pretty fucking hard, sargeants and commandos and scouts are low tempo as shit, and they get even worse if your sergeant "chain" gets broken, which is basically every game. Also dandelion seems pretty counterintuitive and sille just feels like I need to waste some shit just so I can play her when there's no better play on hand. Ocvist seems pretty hit or miss but he did win me one game against monster.

your game plan all depends on your opening hand, you want 3 sergeants out first round, for a 36 point play, and every other unit being buffed too.
you have enough removal for anything that can mess up the sergeant chain, and use henselt on sergeants if you end up with hunters in your hand.
it really isn't that hard to win a round without hunters, just gotta know how the deck works

Is there actually a reason not to have renew as autoinclude in every deck? Like, you always have "the best" gold that you would love to play twice, and you have added flexibility of choosing from opponents golds too.

Here's a scenario that just happened against me

Lets say you only draw 2 golds an entire game, a situational one and renew and your opponent plays reveal, your opponent drops his reveal golds because he has to to buff spotter before you vomit your hand

Round 2 or 3 comes and you still havent used renew then youre put into a situation where you have to renew and your choices are now simply your opponents golds that synergize with him more than you, now your renew was a waste and you buffed his spotters when it could've been a better gold.

I reached 1500MMR with my Queensguard deck, but since then I've gotten fucked curbstombed back down to 1325MMR.

Your changes just erase Sk from existence because of the absence of tempo plays in the faction ( except leader play and shieldmaidens) and destroying the single viable archetype.
The problem from axemen are the interactions with weather effects (mainly frost), if you change the interaction you can still leave axeman viable without making him unplayable.

Is really hard to say.
Right now, MMR means jackshit. Even when I was playing at +2k rank I found people with 28 or even 30 cards in their deck.
People who made obvious mistakes using shackles in the lord of undvyk instead of Hjalmar and so on and so on.
Climbing is not, ot at least it wasn't, very hard.

Still, I'd day that overall, anything above 2.5 k is a decent player. Specially now, with the new mmr system (will they ever give up and go back to old system? Who knows).
If you are below, it doesn't really mean you are bad, there is a big chance, but is possible that you simply don't care about ranked play.
If you do care yet you can't break the 2k barrier, I'd say you are a bad player.
