So how do you think RDM will fit in the meta, when it has to compete with BLM, the godking of aoe and the 2nd best ST dps, and SMN the utility lord and third best dps?

Everything indicates them being a bit weaker than both of them, and utility is kind of weak on rdm from what I understand, aside from being raise bots.

Why is the average pvper so goddamn retarded in this game?

They just pick a spot and fight it out, if they see an enemy they fight that enemy like a muppet no matter the odds, position or job. Nobody gives a shit about objectives or has the tiniest shred of strategic thought.

That, the RNG objectives and the super gutted 4 button classes makes me think this might be the worst pvp any mmo has ever had.

Please don't use macros on your abilities, not even raise. You create a small delay (as little as miliseconds but as long as seconds) because macros can only start/continue on second intervals. So, say you have 2.4GCD. You are potentially losing 0.6seconds with every macro command.

Other than combat, macros are really nice, though.

I generally run 3 hotbars, but only use buttons 1 through 5 (with oGCDs on RTFG).
I recommend finding a set up that's comfortable for you.

I used to main healer before cleric stance was removed, but there is one macro that was useful for healers:
/micon "Cleric Stance"
/hotbar change 4
This macro has no server delay because it sends no commands. It changes your first hotbar to hotbar 4 (you can do anotehr macro to change it back). I used this macro after popping cleric stance to have my offensive spells appear on my main bar, removing my healing spells. Then use the
/micon "Cleric Stance"
/hotbar change 1
to change back. You may find this helpful. Good luck.

So I wanted to get some glamour for my SAM through one of those primal katanas, but they're very expensive. I wanted to buy the materials but it's still pretty expensive.

I only had 500k which wasn't enough to buy all of them, I'm missing roughly 500k. Is there a quick and easy to farm 500k in this game?

I just want a Mighty Thunderstroke to bright up the battlefield.

In every game in the history of ever, big numbers and coolfactor always won. everquest had shit tons of monks and rogues because they were cool and did big damage, but tanks were rare

warcraft had a hunter and rogue problem for years

the list can go on.

So knowing this you have two options, shit your diaper out of anger knowing the anger is going to come whether you like it or not, or you yourself can go tank. bonus gil, bonus seals, getting exp when others are waiting and you can que up again right afterwards, etc.

Bitching here, while a nice passtime and kinda solving your waiting problem, wont really solve your problem, sorta.

It's mostly with the two new classes in my experience, you have a precast veraero to instant verthunder with fleche weaved in by redmage, the samurai will shit out a 40k crit in the first 10 seconds
It's not that bad if the off tank is using shirk, and in the case where there is only one tank(dungeons) they can just suck it up.

Ramuh EX was already brainless at 60, at 70 it's gotta bea complete joke. The only thing you have to worry about is make sure you don't DoT up Ramuh at all phase 1, and the second his adds spawn swap to them. If you do too much damage to him while t hey're up he just instakills everyone. Other than that, just look in Party Finder for 'WT/Wondrous Tails' groups or make one yourself. Warning though, he only drops one weapon per run and there are now 15 classes so it might take a while before you get that katana, especially since other people will probably also be going for it.

He can also drop that Large Levin Orb so maybe you'll luck out. The only difference between the two weapons is that the crafted one has the lightning crackle, the EX trial one has no special affect.

Alternatively if you are on Balmung I will just buy you the Orb because I love Ramuh.

Group synergy feels less immediately mandatory now, though. Classes have moved on from being 'everyone dumps 80% of their damage into the first 20s of the fight' and a lot more classes have varying rampup times. Even the numbers of things like Disembowel's piercing debuff were changed.
