Back when Hinako's SSR was first released, there was a HinakoP who spent 800 bucks trying to get her. The huge cast of CG was always it's strength, and each idol has their share of dedicated Ps.

They might not account for the majority of the playerbase but they probably spend way way more than 70-90% of people. Just go to any app tracker and watch every shitposter on /@/ freak out at every fluctuation. It's kind of like the stock market. There's no such thing as a game that is perpetually in a horizontal-upward draft. There are plunges and whatnot.

But point is, gacha easily outclasses any kind of event when it comes to drawing in income.

There's like what, two major competitive events every month. Meanwhile, there's like five or six gacha updates every month. Not every update is particularly strong, but nonetheless you have a few dedicated Ps who throw entire bank accounts in that period. And you have to consider that one of those every month is a limited gacha where all hell always breaks lose.

It'd be silly to think that stamina refill costs comprise of any really tangible amount of income when compared to gacha.

The only way events can suck money from a player is if they compete for the upper tiers. Here we have >>180635514 some who reached the highest tier without spending a single cent. They pale in comparison to the people who spend money in the weekly gacha. Even moreso if it's a limited gacha/CinFes.

And I think we have to remove the impressio that all whales are tiering autists. I have this Producer on my friend list who has both puchi rooms plastered with I would presume to be posters of pretty much every SSR ever at this point. And yet the guy is just an A Rank Producer. So that means the guy isn't really that active when it comes to playing the game itself.

Is there absolutely no income from those who spend on stamina refills? Not at all, there is some, but income from gacha completely overwhelms it as it also draws in money from people who casually spend money and whale gacha addicts (who aren't necessarily active tierers either). Do whales completely fucking run the game? Well, yes. But I don't think anyone here is contesting that claim.
