Supers are good and i use all of them on at least 1 preset.

They're great. Reverse Blaster has a decent chance of hitting with no setup so it's great for pressuring enemies or whittling them down, also works off knockback.
Trap shooter hits decently hard off a knockback, and if you time it right while an enemy is rolling away, it can hit as they recover too. I haven't found a use for the cancellation feature though.
The ult hits very hard, it's iffy to land as people have mentioned, but being able to detonate it early for one ki bar is great for people with fast stamina regen like Buufus.

ARMS is pretty fun when you have friends to play with. The AI and most randoms are absolute cancer though. Could really use some balance patches. Still, if you have other people to play with I'd say it's well worth the purchase. Maybe at a discount though, doesn't seem like there's really enough in it to justify the price tag unless you were really looking forward to it like I was.

Motion controls are better for punching but worse for movement while traditional controls are better for movement with a few limitations in how you can punch that don't really matter that much. Motion controls can give you a decent workout from what I've heard, but I don't really have room for that so I'm just using traditional now.

I was so incredibly mad when I saw it had been nerfed, and so incredibly happy when I realized it was still super good it just needed a little knockaway setup.

So how do I get 1 handed kamehameha to work? I've seen webms of people doing it mid combo, but my guy always does the dumb backflip which practically hands a stamina break to the opponent.

are there differences between mk I&II besides the ability to expend extra ki?

use it as an evasive, mk1 can be used out of a combo because it'll skip the backflips, mk2 can be pumped with 3 more k for a secondary blast just like burst kame.

You're only going to get a raw one handed off in a vacuum if you hard stamina break someone though.

Picked up this game on sale. Been a huge DBZ fan since I was seven, but I haven't really had much contact with the series for the last seven or eight years. With all the attention Super's been getting, I decided to jump back in, and have honestly been enjoying it. Due to popular recommendation, I watched the two most recent films and started Super on episode 28.

I heard about the Xenoverse series and apparently it's part Budokai gameplay and part MMO themed, and you can make your character a fuckin' Namekian. I was sold.

I heard the online isn't as popular as it once was on PC, but there are still communities for it here and there.

As the story progresses, you get access to more costumes in the Clothes store, as well as more moves and accessories. You'll need to go through the parallel quests as well to get access to some outfits.

The worst ones are the ones you can only get via the Buu's Kids side quest, since it's basically RNG.

If the tail really is static that will be very disappointing. As worst case dimps could have just copied some of the material from mods and updated it and easily gave us what we want. All it's really missing is animations really and some of the mods already have some.

Or with a little bit of effort at least made it one their own.

As for great ape I kind of figured no face but I had no idea about the no tail. The shoes would have been cool if they were ape feet too but it matches the theme they were going with for other outfits i.e. frieza outfit, meta cooler, etc.

The ss4 costume I'm not sure, I think like it, should be easy to mod. At least I hope. It looks kind of good from what I've seen, the wig/tail thing makes sense but why.jpg

Nameks have an innate health regen, safe and reliable strings that work online and have a range advantages, and easy knockdowns. I don't main Namek so I wouldn't say they're BROKEN- but they are easily a contender for best race in the game, and most would probably agree they ARE the best in the game.

They have the largest character models which, combined with their noodle arms, gives them the longest reach in the game.
On a good connection that can still be outplayed but on a shit connection it's either they hit you or you get a clash.

Gotta say I dig the combat so far, at least from a visual standpoint. It's going to take some time getting used to it though, the fighting spaces are so large and the combat moves so quickly.

First thing you have to learn is how to backhit, which is exactly what it sounds like. When your target vanishes just aim a punch backwards to hit them in the face.
The second thing you have to learn is how to avoid backhits. After you vanish don't just immediately go for an attack, take a step backwards first, wait for them to miss their backhit, then attack.
You won't need this yet because the starting AI is dumb as a brick but it gets smarter eventually.

When it comes to boosting attributes, what's typically the best route for a namekian? The game made a point in saying that you can't redistribute them, so I don't want to waste any.

And with stats, don't worry, you can summon Shenron to wish and reset your stats if you don't like it

You can redistribute stat points by wishing with the dragon balls.

Remember that stats increase in increments of 42, meaning that to get a full useable bar of stamina or ki you need to have exactly 42 or 84 points in the stat.

The catch all build is to max out basic attacks and the super stat of your choice, put 42 in both ki and stamina, then put the rest in health. However Namekians can prioritize health more to take advantage of their regen passive. But I don't main a Namek so take that with a grain of salt.

FighterZ is going to have a limited roster with no alternate costumes because of how labor-intensive ArcSys' way of modeling is. XV has dozens of playable characters with alternate costumes, versions and such. It's impossible to have both.
