Upcoming GF update looks breddy gud. Two collab girls will be HG and SG, but what more important, some skills rebalance incoming.
They are nerfing multipistol formations by increasing initial cooldown of pistol skills, slightly buffing some RF (Springfield, Mosya, SV-98 etc) by making their skills get ready faster. Underbarrel grenades (M4 SOP and co) got reworked, seems like radius increased and now they are giving priority to most healthy enemy group. FAL now launch 3 grenade instead of one.
FAL max ROF now 72, RFB base critical now 30% and Type 95 max ACC now 52. There is other changes, but i guess we need to wait for proper translation.

UR cards are twice as likely to appear in data chips until the 29th, and there is an element specific gacha running until the 24th.

Good to see that lingerie is still an acceptable fighting apparel in TB2.
Other than that still hard to tell how to feel about what's shown so far as a TB1 vet. The "I want to do a ton of shit with this lore." attitude is commendable, since the scenario in combination with the art direction always had potential, especially for a proper console game. If there really is so much positivity for the franchise and about the untapped potential within him and MW, it remains baffling how lazy they got with TB1 though and what kind of benchmark they set with it. They could always gear that up if the programming of TB2 is carried by Silicon Studio, but if TB2 ends up being really similar to TB1 and they don't do anything to ease new players into the game, it's hard to see where this whole thing will go. Especially if TB2 doesn't take off, although that might be secured by what sounds like an actual schedule for the main story.

There's a balance, I think.

If you like a game enough you'll deal with the bad rates, but gacha shitting on you enough can still deter your determination.

If you're not too interested in a game, the best rates in the world probably won't keep you around too long. But getting nice things can still get you to stick around a bit longer.

Also partly how you deal with it. I've posted about my approach to Honkers, accepting my reroll S as my only S and focusing on gearing her up.

Which is still working pretty well for me, since there's more things in equip gacha that aren't just wasted gems.

From what it looks and sounds like, it'll be a combination of old and new. Overall bigger maps with whatever gameplay, with "zones" that will turn into maps that should for the most part work like TB1. Generally Heaven and Earth for DPS, Dragon and Tiger for units that have more absolute damage skills like gravity or bleed/poison. Tengen is usually a consideration for one unit in the center to further buff your center top and center bottom, usually an offensive healer or shielder since their healing also gets boosted. Gungnir and Gae Bulg while not as strong have considerations if you wish to further buff a specific unit while all the top or bottom slots are full.

Regarding Hiinukos, Fire Rooster seems like a strong healer, Easter is a shielder, Halloween has practically permanent poison which would be useful in specific dragged out fights. Spring has strong synergy with Halloween considering she paralyzes poisoned enemies. Dragon Boat has a fairly heft defense down debuff and high damage multiplier. New Year's is probably the most niche, but gaining a load of SP orbs can be extremely strong though I have no idea of the probabilities. She has a chance to apply bleed with her normals so there's that though,
