Eh, Yda and Shine aren't that great. If you get a Setzer and farm his fixed dice Shine will become pretty amazing though.
Firion is the top finisher not 5* base if you enhance him, it's good.
Minfilla is good for buffing if you don't have Marie and Y'shtola is a great healer.

Your team should be able to manage the content, but you should try to get 4* chainers like Rikku so you can do real damage.

Unlike lighnting, he's actually a chainer. He can chain not only with other Vaans, but with a number of future units too.
270% on a chaining move is quite high.

He chains perfectly with Edgar, Merc Ramza, Nyx, Lorraine, Trance Terra, Ruggles, Gouken, Enhanced Eileen, and Yuri. And decently well with others.
All this on a base 3* unit everyone has.

Before enhancements, Tidus will perform similar to Orlandeau in the best case, but unlike Orlandeau he needs his own TMR and preferably a heightened Limit Burst to work ideally (alternatively, an enhanced Mercedes with her own TMR). His deepest flaw is that his chaining is not as easy as Orlando's.
After his enhancements, however, his chain attack gains an utterly ridiculous modifier (720%!) and his base ATK also gets extremely high.

All in all, he is MUCH harder to prep than Orlandeau, but if you do so, his rewards can't be beat and he ends up tippety top tier.

It's for the imperil. The chain is already capped when they hit, so it doesn't matter if it's the wrong element or even nonelemental.

Tidus can do a 100% water imperil if you max his LB, so it's stupid to not take advantage of double damage. The caveat being there are almost no good water weapons.

Finally finished using up every single raid coin and fusing every raid unit I can. Here's the total TMRs I got from all this:

And I spent countless cactus on tons of shitty units just to get rid of them since I have too much.

The turn isn't wasted when you do the LB, his LB also chains for a very good multiplier. Plus his innate 200% high tide means he always has it ready at the end of the turn, so at most Mercedes is helping with a single turn of damage (the first one) at the cost of being a shitty finisher overall.

And not everyone HAS a ramza, but everyone will be summoning Ramza friends. Everyone with any sense at all, at least.

You're assuming Tidus will have a limit break ready every single turn. Which is unlikely. There's nothing wrong with having Mercedes do the water imperil so you can use quick trick when Tidus can't use limit break. Other turns, she can buff 100% attack. And chances are, players that do have Tidus would rather summon another Tidus to chain. Also, I told you last post, Ramza doesn't even have his enhancement yet nor do we know when it will come, if ever.

He'll "hit harder" with his main attacking move since his Imperil is attached to his LB and as such becomes a stronger Imperil when you level his LB (100% Imperil when maxed).
But he has issues, one of which is that he has to use a whole turn using his LB that is a lot weaker than his normal move (thanks to Dual Wield to apply the Imperil to begin with. Teedus also doesn't have an innate mastery like Orlandu, but he does have a few Killers.

They're both really good but I'd stick with Orlandu because he keeps it very simple and doesn't need to use an LB first (or rely on Mercedes) to get things rolling.

Wow, so they did change the fest banners a good bit. Gonna have to wait until phase 2 instead of 1 to chase the waifu's bsb and damn, they got rid of Ingus' BSB, I was hoping to pull that. Wakka's BSB would've also been a nice consolation prize but it's gone too. And they've added a dupe for me in OK's BSB where there were no dupes on the banner before. But on the other hand, a shot at Cloud's OSB HOLY SHIT! I didn't know OSBs ever repeated so this makes me hopeful for the future.
