mkay so i've played for under a month but here's how i rank the classes, as a tank

1. i can't speak of other tanks as i never see them, but playing lancer

2. healers: priest is simply better, i cry every time i see a mythic in the party
a priest can:
- pull me
- regen my mana
- overall heals better
- cast buffs (i know that we are ready to attack the boss)
a mythic:
- has balls on the ground (annoying)
- has a summon (annoying)

3. dps
-ninja: the best, high dps, low aggro, high survivability (not gonna talk about armour type)
-everyone else-
-power gap-
- archers: their attacking the boss while he stands in a pile of shit is their worst trait, other than that they're alright
-valkyries: they attack the boss without me the most (before we've "talked strategy", before we're gotten buffs and stuff from the healer, even before everyone's inside the arena), the stupid part is as i understand it they are encouraged to be shitters, as they have some energy bar that always goes down unless they shit things up. also idk if they're OP or what, but if i lose aggro in normal circumstances, it's to a valkyrie
-mages: the worst, every mage i've met has been a complete retard (with the exception of one qt)

honorable mentions (part to -everyone else-):
-warriors: either really good or really bad, i always have a feeling they're going to be extremely edgy for some reason
- gunners: i have no problems at all with gunners, there's a meme that their dps is low but as all i care about is strategy and survivability, they're fine in my book
- reapers: i have no problem with them either, in fact i like their story and there's smth comfy about having another class use chains

As a lancer, your crit rate on your highest hitting skill, wallop, will be pathetically low. I know spring attack is a third of your dps but wallop as an individual skill hits very high ... when it crits. Seeing a mystic in the party I think "fuck yeah I'm gonna hit a lot today." If you're not in a dungeon where you're really forced to rely on your healer, then it shouldn't matter who you get if you're good.

The rest I don't care about, but I do agree that archers are annoying scum 9/10 times.

Tanks who immediately enrage tend to lose aggro the moment a competent DPS follows up with their buffed/brooched skills. In my experience tanks who smack the boss around just a couple of times (not even a full percent) and then pop their enrage/a.rush/gshout stand up better to the initial burn phase. Despite claiming to give the user top aggro, shouts in tera are not great at maintaining that level of threat unless they're immediately supported by raw damage. Enrage has a crazy long animation time on it. So it's not uncommon (and I've seen this while dps'ing, while healing, and while tanking against particularly good dps) to see the tank enrage at the start, gain aggro, and then lose it a moment later when a zerk hits a big TS or an archer rips off that inevitable TB because they were given top threat but their comrades were strong enough to rip it away while they were animation locked.

Not saying you shouldn't enrage at the start, just that doing it immediately at the beginning tends to fuck up most tanks I've seen compared to using like, shield barrage/spring attack or shield barrage/wallop first or something quick like that. We're not even talking about half a percentage lost here, but it goes a long way. Amount of times I've gained threat at the start of a fight on my dps because the tank opened with their enrage and nothing else are too many to count.

I'm sure you can heal fine now, but I'm sure you can also heal fine with a tiny bit less aspd. Obviously it's not about what you need to make your class function, as the threshold for that is amazingly low for healers, it's about convenience and what let's you do a little bit better.

tank who has having trouble in Velik's Hold here
i got the hang of it now and it's actually not so bad, but there should deff be an indicator that this dungeon is going to be a crazy spike in difficulty compared to the others
the only potential problems are
- healer doesn't know to remove the occasional stun on the 1st boss
- retard archers breaking the rocks on the 2nd boss

there are even some comfy things to this dungeon, namely
- i'm not expected to position the bosses perfectly, nor to deal "max possible dmg"
- dps drop like the flies they are when they decide to be morons

what i find funny is how ungrateful everyone is, even here, so i just have to assume most of you play pvp dps
the tank
- has to know the mechanics or you wipe
- has to tell other people about some mechanics before hand because other than the occasional healer no one else does
- is expected (by morons) to block all the damage
- is expected (by morons) to evade all the aoe / stuns
- is expected (by the game) to deal decent damage to even hold aggro
- has to not die, as it's the most relevant death after healer
- and btw i find myself ressing the healer when they die because dps is too busy trying to break their personal record or some shit
- gear is prob most relevant on you, other than the weapons of the dps (tho there's a lot more things that determine their damage)
- you're expected to position the boss (which when you do correctly, some people still complain)
- and you even have to deal with the minions sometimes, because the dps simply do not consider it their job to kill those
- ofc you're expected to give the dps shouts for defense and offense
and when the dps is not complaining, having to recover from their mess is just another pain in the ass (getting aggro when i'm clearly waiting on the boss to move (i even use chain to make it even more obvious), running into the boss fight before me, etc)

i'm not saying i hate the game or anything, but the attitude of "lel get good if you need anything at all then we're carrying you" is retarded, considering it is consistently the tank and / or the healer carrying and babysitting you guys

I've actually found tanking to be easier than dpsing. RMHM was a lot easier to tank than dps, and with VSHM its just darkan thats a nig.
