About what percent of BoTW is playable/completable on cemu?
>>
>>179824383
Almost 4%.
>>
>>179824529

Nice, emulators are crazy!
>>
>>179822870
isnt that just nutty? same thing happened to me
you also have to learn not to accelerate while aiming at a gate. if you accelerate anytime you aren't, and have good steering, you can beat it solidly, but any mistakes and you're fucked. what a shitty contest. naturally one of only like two in the game with anything locked behind it
>>
>>179824383
From my experience coming from playing at least 150 hours on the Switch, it's mostly fine. At least so far after like a couple of days with it. Audio can be fucked at times, like different sounds playing instead of the proper ones and attenuation in general not being good, though I don't find it totally intolerable. I was climbing something and Link was making what sounded like a young female NPC making lewd noises, though you could get anything really. They don't stick forever. Otherwise that'd be a big problem if you hear mismatched sounds on every occasion.

As for playable, the majority of my crashes seemed to have happened in Hyrule Castle alone, with an odd couple here and there. If you want to do the apparatus shrines you'll need to use your mouse by right clicking. Some shrines are more awkward than others and may require in-game workarounds. When in doubt just google someone that's done an apparatus shrine on CEMU.

Game will stutter early on because of the shaders, and when setting bombs off first time and such. Playing with the GPU accuracy setting on low is pretty much a necessity for a smoother game. GPU fence skip/CEMUhook is needed for the overworld, but when doing shrines you have to turn it off otherwise things will be sped up too much.

I haven't run into any barriers preventing completion as of yet. No key items are broken as of yet. I was going to hold out until the DLC to continue with the game. But the game, when you use 4k shadows and graphics pack really makes it a whole different experience. Getting the contrast graphics pack let's you fuck with the vibrance, contrast, exposure and gamma too, so tweaking settings to get a different look is nice.

There might be people around that have played on CEMU a lot longer than I have that might be able to say more about CEMU version 1.8.0 and how it works with the game. These were just what I noticed right away.
>>
>>179825480
now i just have to beat the archery one again which is a lot harder than i thought it would be
>>
>>179826761
why would an emulator ever do things like that? isnt it just.. go to sound file -> play it?
>>
>>179821737
> Be Mipha
> Be dead
>>
>>179826810
yeah it is, but you can make it easier with a twilight or ancient bow, and use bomb arrows on the double-target and the multi-target at the end
also use the giant horse. he's just the right speed on cruise control, he changes speeds smoothly, and he's higher so you get to see targets sooner
>>
About to do something DLC related.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJABBMAqZsU
>>
>>179827549
I think it's a bit more complicated than that m8 when it comes to proper sound emulation. For whatever reason, the audio on the emulated game can bug out at times. It isn't bugged all the time, but it can be.
>>
They're going to show even more of the first DLC.
Well. I am hard out. They already exceeded my expectations with the second save slot and the trials themselves the last time they showed it.

So, I'm sure this has already been talked about, but what do you guys speculate the DLC story will be about? Is it just going to be a flashback to the champion team in the past, or will it actually affect the future somehow?
>>
>>179836779
My prediction.
Kass will sing a song about the champions, which will lead Link to a new dungeon, so collect some object that was special to them in some way.
>>
>>179836779
probably flashback. Its way easier to make some random story with the champions than create a new story. Also Im not sure how that would work. We beat ganon so the monsters should all be gone. Unless they bring some new enemy, which would kinda ruin the story imo, theres not much to do with the future. They could do the whole 10 millenia has passed stuff again and new reincarnation, but that seems like more of a new game than DLC
>>
>>179837273
the simplest thing to do is 'this place didnt used to have a cave but now it does'

Can the Master Sword run out of energy in the castle? I thought I heard somewhere that it doesn't ever run dry when it's in glowing mode.
>>
Do you guys think there will every be a BOTW 2? I actually liked this open world concept. First game that didn't bore me with it.
>>
>>179837429
The trick will be getting the initial clue from Kass. It could lengthen his quest by one goal, or it could be that he is just also in some location, or it could mean that his quests must be done first.
>>
>>179837513
Oh, and once you beat it I really hope you unlock the ability to have one of the champions spirits follow you around like Wolf Link. But thats solid pipe dream territory

What the fuck did you just say to me you little shit-blin? I'll have you know I'm the youngest swordsman ever to be knighted and have been involved in innumerable assaults on monster camps, and have over 300 million confirmed kills. I am trained in all forms of combat and am the hero chosen by the sword that seals the darkness. You are nothing to be but another z-target. I will wipe you out with a precision not even the rito champion could match. Think you can get away with saying that to me over the internet? Right now I am contacting my network of sheikah towers all across Hyrule and your location is being targeted for absolute obliteration, so prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing called your life. I can be anywhere anytime and can kill you in over 700 different ways and that's just with the Master Sword. Not only do I have the Blade of Evil's Bane but I have access to the full arsenal of the Hyrule Royal Guard, and that of the Zora, Goron, Rito, and Gerudo, and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the plains of Hyrule. If only you could have known what Hylia-blessed retribution your little comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue. But you couldn’t, you didn’t, and now you’re paying the price, I will shit fury all over you and you will drown in it. You’re fucking dead, kiddo.

>>179848119
It does rather make you wonder, though. why's hylia so niggardly with her powers? why's somebody gotta go do rituals at all the pools OR tap into their feelings of true love before they can activate their bloodline? i mean, making link jump through hoops for triforce pieces, the few times they've been held hostage by the powers of good, that makes sense. you get that shit together and you get a fucking wish from the goddesses.. and even if your heart's imbalanced you only have to get the whole thing a second time and now they can't refuse. so THAT makes sense to keep behind a "you gotta earn it matey" magic lock.. but the basic seal-away-evil powers of hylia? why's it matter? can that be used improperly?

It might have something to do with needing the connection to Hylia being strong enough to access the powers. Zelda's mother could use them supposedly without having a Link to fall in love with, it could be that Zelda couldn't use them because she was denying herself, or something

Yeah that makes sense. maybe it's not actually that hard but she was screwing herself hard by being one of the most emotionally fucked zeldas in all of history. i can't think of a worse one but we rarely get insight into her emotions or shit she's been through as a kid.
i get the impression OoT's princess wasnt good at magic yet but Impa apparently fostered that shit so by the future she, at the very least, could transform into a guy, disappear in a smokebomb, and telekinetically lift doors. how much of that is sheikah training i dunno
>>
>>179849541
>but we rarely get insight into her emotions or shit she's been through as a kid.
King Rhoam's journal is hidden in the castle library, and it confirms that they've basically been hammering it into Zelda's mind that EVERYTHING is on her shoulders and she MUST master her magic OR ELSE since she was a little girl, even after her mother died, which only made it worse because her mother was the only one who could actually teach her that magic. Meaning she had everyone in the kingdom, including her father, breathing down her neck to figure out how to save the world by herself her entire life.

Yeah, she's an emotional wreck on the inside. The journal even said she never once cried over her mother's death, not even in private.
>>
>>179849541
Twilight Princess might have seen some shit but she was still basically fine. A Link Between Worlds's had a hard time being in a painting but that was for, like, five minutes compared to a century trapped literally inside of Ganon
This Zelda had a pretty hard life but at least Link gets to dick away her bad memories now
>>
>>179849938
it makes sense.. for msot of us death is just a loss of something we're used to having.. but in her situation death was a reminder of danger and mortality.. the best response isn't "sad" but "preserve my own life" and the spectre of the returning ganon didn't go away long enough for her to have a chance to mourn
>>
>>179849938

Link and Zelda were kindred spirits, and not in the usual way. She started to warm up to him when he told her that the pressure of being the hero is why he's always so quiet. He closed himself off from everyone and Zelda understands that because she did the exact same thing.

They're probably the only two people in the kingdom who can truly understand each other on a whole other level.
>>
>>179850205
Part of it I think was him just being there for her and NOT judging her or expecting her to be perfect like everyone else around her.

Urbosa also seems to have filled that role but she was probably busy with her own Gerudo shit to be there all the time.
>>
>>179850626
Zelda and Urbosa had a relationship on the level that she would later have with Link though, even if Link was a more consistent presence. Somebody had to tell Urbosa about Zelda's trainning when she was young and I doubt it was the King or any of his advisors.

reckon I could do it, or at least i could get through the place without getting hit. honestly that place is sort of a microcosm of my few problems with this game: you genuinely had no fucking idea what to expect. any given challenge could be super deep or it could be shallow as balls, and it was REALLY hard to tell which it would be, and thus custom tailor your approach. I got 90% of the way through that place every time I failed, but it took a huge psychological toll because i had no idea that that was the case..
and the fact that the final guard straight up does not move, even for nanners, made it worse (i ended up just stasising him
the fact that there's that hidden rear area, and a few treasures and shit to collect but no indication of whether those will be lost later..
and once you get past the final guard it's just this weird and very misleading room that looks like it's gonna ambush you, but doesn't.. and doesn't contain a damn thing. though it was clever how they put a metal thing there to encourage you to try magnesis and spot the hidden door (but how the fuck does that seam even work?)

my first guardian kill was after I came into one of these threads talking about how that tower scared me (and dropping off a screencap I took of riding lord of the mountain in kishin link outfit), and someone was like "it's not so bad if you cut off their legs, and with a horse you can outrun them" and i was like holy shit i never would have thought either of those was possible
sure enough, on horseback, slashing with some manner of claymore, did a NICE chunk of damage
the scariest thing about stalkers is they KNOW arrows to the eye will stun them, so they scurry about unpredictably

ima say it again, nothing suits this game like fucking tektites, and it's a massive shame they weren't included. it was probably decided they'd be too annoying, but tektites have traditionally been the GOOD kind of annoying. maybe not so much in TP where the name of the game was realistic physics so everything felt kind of floppy, but... it would feel a LOT like zelda 1 if we just had tektites, peahats, and leevers. and recapturing and translating that old feel seems to have been their aim, so..
actually it's funny given that this is the largest focus on archery we've ever had, that the majority of that archery is ground-to-ground headshot sniping. there's very little to bother with in the air, so boomerangs are rarely even worth using as intended.

i love me some curry, and it also feels nice having desserts around. I feel like the game that did food best was the paper mario series, because it made a weird amount of sense that meat and mushrooms refilled health while sweets refilled your attack energy points instead.. and if you cooked them together, they'd do both, saving you a precious inventory slot.

they were annoying as balls in 2d because "flying" was represented by "invincible til they stop"
on the other hand, that made the stopwatch a super valuable tool, and presumably stasis would have a similar function. i also assume you could freeze them and watch them helplessly crash to the ground.
On the other hand though they look a little too much like guardian stalkers.. which is weird in its own way.
what i think is weird is that they went ahead and made sure you had every tool right away, again aping the original, which I believe is still the game with the earliest ability to have bombs.. but then.. gave you exactly ONE enemy that requires bombs, and it's just a weird vortex-sucky octarok. and even then you could use bomb arrows instead except they often live in places where a bomb arrow blows up in your face.

what i think is interesting is that NPCs who react to link's nudity will sometimes react to pantlessness, sometimes to toplessness, sometimes requiring both.. and one who specifically says 'put some pants on' says the same even if you.. do put some pants on, but not a shirt.
>>

a bit. i would rather they tried to explain it as you actually taming a wolf. something you should have been able to do anyway. the wolves in this game are so damn pretty. also hawks, you should have been able to tame hawks.. also should have had a rideable wolf (wouldve worked on mountains) and also goat should have been rideable and worked on mountains.. and they shouldve let you ride the ostriches and the waterbuffalos too.

in any case, depending what the amiibo rune is actually supposed to be doing (calling to a god from another dimension to give you powers from a totem? sure), you could say the wolf link is just a spirit, something summoned out of twilightmatter and reacting to you to form a wolf since it formed a wolf out of Link once

On that note, I always thought the idea of more than one Link interacting with each other was a cool idea. I was kind of hoping that would happen in Hyrule Warriors, it's kind of disappointing that despite tripping back and forth to important time points in other games Link never accidentally bumped into himself.

Apparently it was confirmed that the Hero's Shade from Twilight Princess actually is young Link from Ocarina/Majora's Mask after he grew up, became a hylian knight, and eventually died of who knows what. But still, that was so far removed from what we're used to, I wasn't even sure if it was supposed to be Link at first.

With this series frequent use of time travel and referencing different eras and all, the idea of multiple Links and Zeldas coming together across time sounds like something they could make work.

>Reading Zelda's research journal in the castle
>When she got the Sheikah slate working she was mystified by it's abilities to capture images without an artist
It's a fucking camera. So, a hundred years ago camera's didn't exist? And yet this kingdom supposedly has ten thousand years of history behind it? This wouldn't bother me so much if Hyrule weren't constantly trapped in this time-locked state of fantasy middle ages development, but if BotW takes place the latest in the timeline like people speculate, they've actually become less advanced.

Ocarina had mechanical bomb rats that you could wind up and launch, Twilight Princess was almost steampunk at times with walking canons, Wind Waker had CAMERAS, steamboats, and if the Tingle Tuner is taken as tech rather than magic, fucking radio communication devices. Spirit tracks had all that plus trains.

And in BotW Zelda didn't even understand the concept of a camera. She assumed they were magical drawings or some shit.
>>
>>179873101
well we still don't know how pictographs work except that they have an extremely limited capacity and that special fireflies are required to take pictures in color, so...

anyway it's pretty clear that the age of high tech died a long time ago. the king at the time actually banished the sheikah because he was so scared their tech would run wild (and he was sort of right?)
granted 10 fucking thousand years is a stupidly long time for almost anything to make any kind of sense, but.. i mean, it's consistent at least. they don't even have rubber anymore. hell, we don't even see bombs. not sure how the gorons use those cannons of theirs, but..

yeah i would have put it differently and made it "mystified by its abilities to capture images without paper or metal plates" because it's basically a magic LCD
>>
>>179873507
In fact, the really spiffy way they could have done it is say that it uses a combination of the magics used in stasis and bomb, in order to stop light in its tracks and then materialize a holographic object made of the same crazy material as the bombs and the sword and axe blades

It took me about 10 hours to find the second-to-last memory because I thought Pikango in Kakariko didn't offer anything there. I went to all the stables and went to every other village for it. Now that I have the last memory left, I don't even know where to look anymore. It's a forest. Which was what I was about to bitch about until I started playing 2 minutes ago and I just found the Wetland Stable after 180 Hours and found him. Hmmm...

Back when the game first came out everyone was saying they liked eventide and wished for a bigger version of it (to which I'd reply "you mean the great plateau?"). Well that seems to be exactly what the sword trials are, in cave-of-trials form. good point, but he might have come back. the WW backstory definitely didn't happen within his lifetime. especially since TP had to come first. I'd be willing to believe that WW was a retelling of LttP, and that BotW was a retelling of LoZ, and maybe that SS was a retelling of AoL, and perhaps that FSA was a drunk trying to mix OOT with MC. The others seem too different to really really be the same story over and over.

I believe that for the most part, Nintendo has made the next game with not much more in their mind than the last one popular game, and some ideas that they wanted to use before but couldn't.

AoL was intentionally a sequel to LoZ, even though the stories didn't really connect and may have even conflicted.

LttP was basically a reboot, but they told us it was a prequel to all, even though the story didn't really connect to LoZ and may have even conflicted.

OOT was intentionally made to be the seal war from the LttP backstory, making OOT a prequel to LttP. OOT map areas and NPCs are often rip-offs of LttP elements.

WW was made to be a sequel to OOT/MM, as if the players had never played LttP and wouldn't care. Nintendo mentioned OOT having "two endings", but the actual timeline split was still just a fan theory, which is why WW contains a retelling of MM's story from the perspective of Tingle.

PH and SP are easily sequels of WW.

TP actually takes the split seriously. This is the place where maybe Nintendo actually started to care about a full continuity, or at least cared about appeasing the fans that care about one.

SS dodges the whole issue by putting itself at the beginning of all games. Seems to lift a sleeping princess theme from the old AoL plot-line, but without any of the narrative of AoL attached.

BotW tries to dodge the whole issue by putting itself near the end of all games.

Other games are questionable at best, and many not actually made by Nintendo.

History of the Zora, Part One
The Enteral Zora's Domain
As told by King Dorephan

The rains have blessed Lanayru since ancient times with an abundance of pure, clean water. Seeking a bounty of such water, the Zora gathered there. Thus, as the legends go, the domain was born 10,000 years ago. The land was also rich in ore, and so a unique form of stone masonry was developed to create our new home. The domain is one giant sculpture, a feat of architecture that has drawn admirers from the world over. Our great domain will ever stand as a hallmark of the esteemed artists who made it, an eternal symbol of Zora pride.

History of the Zora, Part Two
A Reservoir of Hope
As told by King Dorephan

Once every 10 years, the Lanayru region experiences unusually heavy rainfall. The Zora River flooded every time. The tides damaged not only our domain but our people, washing away poor souls and causing great suffering and disarray. The Zora king of that time, after seeking aide from the king of Hyrule, rode out to see what could be done. By joining the architectural genius of the Zora and Hyrule's technological prowess, East Reservoir Lake was swiftly built. Thanks to this fruitful partnership, Hyrule was no longer plagued by these devastating floods. In gratitude, the Zora king promised the king of Hyrule to manage the reservoir level to protect all of Hyrule from floods. each Zora king since has kept that oat, spanning 10,000 years. That is why the reservoir signifies our bond with Hyrule.

History of the Zora, Part Three
Miracle of the White Scale
As told by King Dorephan

Our scholars say that in the distant past, Zora's Domain had a king with no special talent for the art of war. What he lacked in skill with a blade, he made up for in love for his people, and especially love for his queen. One day, news reached the king of a horde of monsters gathering in the Zodobon Highlands. The king steeled himself for war to protect his people, but the queen knew how ill suited for the task he was. Worried for his life, she wove one of her own scales into his armor, hoping that her love would protect him in battle. It seemed for a time that the tide of battle favored the Zora and that all would make it safely home. But the cunning Lizalfos general saw an opening and seized it, driving the king's forces into a corner. Just when the general's sword was ready to crash down upon the king, a miracle took place. An errant sunbeam reflected from the scale on his armor blinded the Lizalfos, stopping the deathblow from falling. This was the chance the king needed to rally his forces and turn the tide, taking down the general and securing victory. This came to be known as the Miracle of the White Scale, a scale that only female Zora possess. It was this miracle that began the tradition of Zora princesses crafting armor for their future husbands.

--In OOT, the pendant was the wedding gift. Child line, the pendant didn't get used up for questing purposes as far as we know, so the Zora should still have it. Something that could potentially be placed in a royal armor suit.

History of the Zora, Part Four
The Lightscale Trident
As told by King Dorephan

The queen and I were blessed with a daughter as lovely as a jewel. We named our princess...Mipha. To celebrate her birth, the smithy Dento presented Mipha with a gift: a might spear called the Lightscale Trident. Mipha grew into a bright girl and soon reached the age of receiving lessons from the royal family's order of knights. The whole of the royal guard adored her, especially Sergeant Seggin, who loved her as if she were his own kin. Under Seggin's instruction, Mipha honed her skill, and her radiance grew along with her skill with the Lightscale Trident. As a Champion, Mipha made her people proud. However, once the Great Calamity struck, she was never to return. All of Zora's Domain fell into misery. The merest thought of the princess was enough to overcome anyone with tears. As a way of offering her soul repose, they tried to send the Lightscale Trident drifting down the Zora River. But when they did, the trident began to glow, and Mipha's voice rang loud and clear for all Zora to hear:

"The Lightscale Trident and I are one... Abandon your grief and know joy once again. Do not cry...just remember."

And so, keeping to her request, on the day of the Great Calamity...the day that Mipha passed from this world...the Zora venerate the Lightscale Trident and remember their brave princess.

Such is the origin of the Champion Festival.

History of the Zora, Part Five
The Sage Princess Ruto
As told by King Dorephan

Long, long ago... In a past more distant that even the Great Calamity or the creation of the Divine Beast Vah Ruta... There was a Zora princess named Ruto. We know that she was an attendant to the Zora patron deity and that she was a fair and lively girl, beloved to all. Around that same time, an evil man with designs on ruling the world appeared, bringing disaster upon Zora's Domain. It is said that Ruto then awoke as a sage, facing this foe alongside the princess of Hyrule and the hero of legend. Her achievements are remembered not only by the Zora, they are also forever etched into the history of Hyrule. The Divine Beast Vah Ruta, built ages later to face off against Calamity Ganon, was named in honor of Ruto. That the Zora princess—my sweet daughter Mipha—was chosen to pilot Ruta is surely the work of fate.

History of the Zora, Part Six
Divine Beast Vah Ruta
As told by King Dorephan

When the Divine Beast Vah Ruta was first discovered at Zora's Domain, my daughter Mipha hurried to see it. Those present that day say they saw an unusual sparkle of excitement in Mipha's normally calm eyes as she beheld Ruta. The princess spoke of the Divine Best as she would a friend and was overjoyed when she was chosen to pilot Ruta. I thought nothing of it at the time, but given the events that followed, I now regret allowing this to happen. I have spent many long years consumed by guilt. My dearest wish is that her soul will know peace. I pray for it every day.

History of the Zora, Addendum 1
King Dorephan Stands His Ground

Around 100 years after the King Dorephan ascended to the throne, a stray Guardian crossed Upland Zorana into our domain. The Guardian seemed unstoppable. Our best soldiers' spears barely left a scratch on its metal hull. It was then that our King Dorephan, without a thought for his own safety, came out to face the Guardian himself. With supernatural strength, he lifted the Guardian and hurled it into a ravine. The impact of the fall left the Guardian in pieces, and it was never to trouble another Zora ever again. The citizens celebrated the king's valor. From then on, their trust and respect for him grew beyond compare. You can still see the scar he eared that day on his forehead—a token of his triumph.

History of Zora, Addendum 2
Prince Sidon's Great Escape

There was once a giant Octorok in Hateno Bay, large as a mountain, which terrorized the village's fishers. Hearing of their distress, Prince Sidon went forth to personally eliminate the offending Octorok. But this Octorok was a tricky beast. After the prince dodged one of the stones it spat, it inhaled him whole. Such had been the fate of many strong warriors who went to slay the Octorok. Not one had come back alive. Just as it seemed Prince Sidon would be counted among them, the giant Octorok twisted in pain. The tip of a silverscale spear pierced the Octorok's stomach from within, revealing itself as the source of the beast's agony. Incredibly, Prince Sidon had fought his way out by stabbing his spear over and over into the monster's stomach. Unable to bear the pain, the Octorok coughed up the prince and scrambled to escape. Ever since, the fishers of Hateno Bay have passed down this heroic tale: The Prince Who Slew the Fell Octorok

Memoir of a Gifted Stonemason

What an honor it was to receive a personal request from King Dorephan to craft a historical stone monument! I did not realize how much content he'd given me, though... It certainly exceeded the line limits of a single monument. I suppose I could have just shortened the text, but it felt wrong to tamper with our great king's words. Thankfully, I was able to split it all between seven monuments to ensure that every word was preserved. I have always prided myself on my ability to think outside the box. I am so very adaptable! And humble as well. While I was at it, I thought...why not add two of my own? And so I created one for King Dorephan and one for Prince Sidon. True, this is outside the scope of my commission... But I believe their triumphs deserve as much! But why stop at that... Why indeed! My achievement surely deserves remembrance too. That is how a commission of one became 10. Of course, having increased the number of monuments, I had to find places for them all... That proved difficult. Still, it is worth it! So long as I remember to sign these monuments, my name will be remembered forever. As it should be.
>>
>>179938950
Jabun is the Zora's patron deity. Greatfish Isle was destroyed as an attack against Jabun and the Zora. Killing descendants of the sages is how Ganondorf weakens the seal on the Sacred Realm, and is the reason Link had to find replacement sages.

>>
>>179943553

>>
>>179943294
Changes are from random mutation, not from pressure. Mutation only occur in single individuals. At any rate, change in Zelda is most likely a matter of members moving to a new patron diety. The old one and new one both existed.

>>179943691
Why are you even bringing up the ocean, when nobody ever claimed that the ocean was the Sacred Realm? The Sacred Realm is where Ganondorf was trapped at the end of OOT. Both LttP and WW break Ganondorf out of the Sacred Realm in the same way; first he attacks the descendants of the sages to weaken the seal, and then Link pulls the Master Sword to end the seal completely. WW Ganondorf even tells you as much when Link confronts him.
>>
>>179943821
You just have to know where to plant the bombs.
>>
>>179944090
You're a little confused. Lemme recap:
>the post I replied to claimed the sages powered the seal on the sacred realm
>I let them know that's a translation error and it's actually a seal on ganon's minions
>however, the translation error says the seal in question is the one on the ocean. the sacred realm doesnt factor in at all.
>>
>>179944090
um, technically, that's the evil realm. a pocket within the sacred realm. you wouldn't want him in sacred realm proper, that's where all this madness started.
>>179944224
fuck me I wish I'd known that.
>>
>>179942421
Zelda will throw that trident in the trash pretty soon
>>
>>179944395
The Sacred Realm is where Ganondorf was sealed at the end of OOT. The Master Sword locks the realm, and the sages power the Master Sword. Ganondorf tells you himself that Link has released him by removing teh Master Sword.

>>179944526
It isn't a pocket. The Sacred Realm (evil realm) became the Dark World because of Ganondorf reaching the Triforce. They are the same place.
>>
>>179944395
LttP and WW function under the same mechanisms, and the seal is on the Sacred Realm. Old Hyrule being frozen is something different and not part of the discussion.
>>
>>179944756
nevertheless, anon said sacred realm, US game said ocean, real game said minions. i'm just spelling that out for you.
and no, the evil realm is a separate place within the sacred realm, obviously. ganon isnt walking freely around the temple of light and punching Rauru and shit. you really need to go read up
>>
>>179945008
Pretty sure it is, anon was talking about the master sword being pulled, right?
>>
>>179944090
yes, and selective pressure is supposedly what turns those individual mutations (which don't happen) into new species (which very doesn't happen). It's silly enough without suggesting that it only happens to some of the population, enough to make a new species, but leaves the rest of them alone to just stay the way they are. selective pressure is always just as strong as the evolutionist needs it to be, and not one iota more. pretty impressive for random chance.
99% of the time you hear anyone talking about evolution they're talking about one species completely replacing another
>>
>>179945559
You don't seem to have any idea how any part of evolution works, and there is nothing in WW that says the Zora are dead. The game even includes their patron deity, and a quest for Link to find their island.
>>

Change the voices to Japanese
The Champions no longer say anything when you use their powers or when their powers finish recharging.
Change back to English. The champions still don't have any voices.
So you have to change back to English voices, and reboot the entire system and reload the game. And then the voices are back. But change to Japanese again, and the voices disappear again.

It really sucks.

>>
Can I sell the rare minerals I find ore are they useful to upgrade certain weapons?
>>
>>179981559
As a general rule I don't sell stuff until I absolutely need the cash for something I need/want. If I feel like I'd be upgrading armours down the line I research upgrade requirements. I avoid selling diamonds, and tell to sell amber and luminous stones first given how I end up with more of those, but only sell for the amount of rupees I need at the time. I don't need to be holding tens of thousands of rupees for no reason.
>>
>>179981559

yes you can sell them, that's their primary use. they are useful for upgrades but don't feel pressured to horde them. Mark where every Tallus is and keep diamonds if you really feel compelled to horde/ Amber and opal are abundant sell them as you please
>>
>>179981559
They're used to upgrade jewelry from the Gerudo and in some Amiibo armors. Diamonds are used in some other stuff like reforging the champion's weapons.

It's mostly fine to sell them, they're pretty easy to get anyway.

Some part of me feels stupid for buying a Switch, a case, some accessories and the game, when I have a powerful computer that can run it on CEMU at 5k with 4k shadows no problem, and can just download the DLC and updates with WiiU USB helper as well as the game itself. Another part wants me to be happy/content with the fact I still supported Nintendo. I feel rather conflicted.

that would be a poor mix since Zora need to be in water most of the time and they may be vulnerable to extremes of temperature. The Gron's would make better mates since the Gerudo natural heat resistance would be boosted to flame resistance and they'd get tougher skin, keep or improve on their strength and musculature and maybe grow taller as well

she says things before and in the lessons that suggest she knows a fair bit about what men are like so I gather she's very experienced with men but doesn't want to settle down like other Gerudo. Other Gerudo recognise her knowledge and experience but the older already married Gerudo look down on her not being married.

I wonder what they say about Isha. Cara's juicy gossip suggest that other Gerudo are jealous of her good looks
>>

We discussed this in a past thread and though many theories were posited I wasn't satisfied about how Gerudo Town isn't haemorrhaging citizens as the young go out and get married and settle down outside Gerudo.
