I've played against both, and stuff like Akali in the same comp. It's actually really easy to disengage from them if you're careful not to waste your satchel charge, and generally you'll get the first turrret by eight minutes at the latest anyway.

I think to make it optimal you'd need a special rune page with some mana regen slotted in there though - you'll want to outsustain the botlane and for that you don't want to have mana issues. I've been running a bog standard mid page so far but it feels like you could do better with some more mana sustain.

I think the biggest pain is just champions that can delay the push enough or that are immune to your poke.

Lucian's annoying because he can dodge your Q and all in (somewhat) in that duration, so I tend to ban him. Karma's annoying because she can help her ADC shove out the lane, but she also feels great to lane with for the same reason. I think the worst combos are stuff like caitlyn/karma who have a lot of lane pressure and can match your shoving power through the early levels rather than things that actually engage with you.

If you're below Platinum, I'd recommend you to spam more Bard and replace the other 3 with more bully champs. The best way to get Plat as a supp main is to bully the fuck out of them.

Sona may be a bad Nami on higher elo, but she will bully the nubs. Consider Lulu also, but she will get nerfed sooner or later.
Tahm may give your adc an extra seconds of life, so does Morgana or Karma and they can hurt a lot in the process.
And replace Rakan with a full damage support like Brand or Zyra.

And once you're plat you may consider to come back to your faves, but really, you'll climb faster by playing aggro supports, even if you're better at using full supports or tanks.
