I remember people kept referring to Orianna as "The most balanced champion" earlier before but she's gotten to the point of being Maokai before his rework: Generalist.

There is no wrong to picking her. She's 100% a safe pick to where she isn't so overpowered but she is so perfect that there isn't a wrong answer to picking her. She doesn't need to be gutted but she needs to be given an actual flaw so she doesn't work on certain team comps besides mana problems early-on.

Lucian always gets shafted for being OP when people have a hard time realizing he genuinely falls off as an ADC. In soloQ where things are disorganized he has a much easier time taking over a game. In all honesty, BoRK is what put him in his current position and people want him gutted for that when they fail to realize what actually made him too strong.

The item itself is too overtuned and what has popped him as well as several other ADCs off into broken territory. though its much better than lethality meta.

I don't understand Riot's reasoning for the obvious gutting. It's not like he's still a popular OP pick/ban FOTM like he was before season 7; he received some nerfs & people know how to deal with him now. Sure, the knock-ups can still be annoying for low elo at times - but I think that could've been balanced with small damage nerfs to his E. Doesn't help that the rework completely removes him from top lane either.

Now I can't help but wonder how much they fucked over his voice with the new changes. Does the OBNOXIOUS AS FUCK squeaky pitch tone still occur when he reaches 60-70% health? If they kept it for the final patch then I'll be fucking irate; because Riot just ruined one of the best voices in the game. That chipmunk shit should only trigger when he reaches 30% health at most.

All in all, it's another sad yet typical case of Riot giving us another completely unnecessary and unwanted garbage rework that they can add to their ever-growing list of failed reworks. Inevitable stat buffs could help, but it won't fix the new shitty Q and ult.

But at least Maokai made it through as a passable jungler now, despite his kit nerfs and new garbage ult. Everyone thought he was the one that was going to get trashed, good to see that this wasn't the case. Winrates will probably improve overtime.

Also worried about Sej now, too. Because you just know they're going to give her an inevitable Leblanc/Rengar gutting-tier treatment with her new BS kit and winrate. And it's fucking sad since she was in the gutter for so long before these changes. Her popularity's going to be short-lived because of it.

Zac didn't need a rework, period. Now he's both utter trash and no longer fun to play. Same happened to Skarner a while back.

As for the champions that have interesting mechanics and are just harder to play in general - they tend to receive less play and attention from the playerbase at large for those reasons alone. In turn, this results in the small playerbase for said champions getting very good with their mains and dominating the competitive scene. Hence said champions getting gutted or hard-nerfed because a few diamond+one tricks are dominating with him and buffing their winrates to ridiculous levels.
