Most of the tier 7 and 9 light tanks are really good. All of the premium light tanks are really good. Almost all of the non-premium light tanks at tiers 5, 6, 8, and 10 are irredeemable trash. Notable exceptions are the Leopard at tier 5 and WZ-132 at tier 8.

nah, it got really shitty around t7/t8. It felt like bringing anything that wasn't an mbt was gimping your team. At least that's what I felt when I quit. The long queue times didn't help either because you couldn't just mindlessly chain games and forget about the previous match. You'd get a 1 sided steam roll where one time had 5 mbts and the other had 1, then sit in queue for 5 minutes before saying fuck it and closing.

With the buffed single shot gun, it has 1900 DPM, good soft stats, and 10 degrees of gun depression. Considering that it gets a Vert Stab at tier 5 along with good soft stats and 1.6s aiming time, it is extremely easy to outplay people so that they miss shots with the derpy ass guns that most tier 5 and 6 tanks get. Then after they miss a shot you can shoot them 2 or 3 times with the good DPM of the 5cm gun.

I have a Tiger 1 that I both love and perform well in. However, everything I've seen about the Tiger 2 indicates that it would not suit my playstyle at all, which is a shame because I think it's aesthetic as fuck.

I used to have a similar problem with the Centurions, but with enough practice I managed to figure out how to make them work effectively.

You need tracks to equip the 105mm at one point. Might aswell get it over with. Then engine if you feel like it. It doesn't really matter because the T29 selling point is not it's speed anyway.

Tier 6 lights are meh in 9.18, neither the 59-16 or MT are that bad but you'd be better off driving a med with more health and better guns.

You shouldn't be driving to the frontlines in the first place. Go to the side of the map where your team is weak and sidescrape like a motherfucker to hold the enemy off. The only thing the Churchill VII can do successfully is defend a flank. In some games, you'll do 0 damage because the enemy doesn't push into you, but there's nothing you can do about that. You just have to take up the strong defensive positions and wait for the enemy, because that tank is utterly incapable of playing aggressively.

Lowe got buffed recently, so it's better right now. It's definitely possible that the T34 could get buffed eventually too, but I think WG is waiting as long as possible to buff it because it's the most commonly owned t8 premium in the game IIRC, so people would buy less t8 premiums if the T34 wasn't a piece of shit.

Well it's better than the Bulldog IMO. I know a lot of people will disagree with me on that, but I'd rather have an autoloader with 170 alpha than a single shot gun with 170 alpha. The main problem with the BC 12t is that the penetration sucks, and even with premium rounds you only get 210 penetration. On the upside, it's crazy fast and I'm pretty sure it has the best camo on any tier 8 light.

The old 1390 was fine if you chai sniped for 90% of the match and spammed gold like a motherfucker. The new 1390 honestly isn't strictly *better* than the old 1390, it's just a hell of a lot easier to play and doesn't cost 50k credits per match for ammo because the standard pen is less garbage. Especially if you want to play it as an actual light tank instead of being a lame ass wn8 padder, you'll like the new 1390 more, but if played optimally the old 1390 was still very capable of getting 60-65% winrates solo.

Certain tanks like the 113 are preferable over slower tanks because they can position and flex to different areas faster. CW is all about responding to the enemy and probing for areas to push.

Tanks like the Maus have their niche, they are great at locking down a corridor, this is why you will see a lot of them on city maps, but anywhere else they get isolated easily.

The 50/100 does need the ability to disengage from a fight because even with a good crew, the top gun takes ~40 seconds to reload.

Is MM fucked for anyone else?

I have been playing tiers 6-8 mostly and I have had 3 top tier games out of 56.

Now, I have been in plenty of single tier games where everyone is top tier (or bottom) or whatever the fuck you want to call it. But I have had just 3 occasions when in either a 5/10 or a 3/5/7 where I was the top tier. I figured it was bad luck for a while, but then I realised that I had not played against a single tier 4 or 5 tank in my tier 6. It's reached a point beyond which it cannot be a fluke.

Does this have something to do with platooning? When I played a few solo games, I got those 3 top tier games. The entire time we platooned, we were never top tier. I am talking platoons of 2 rather than 3 also. Have they quietly changed MM for platoons?

What has WG done to this poor tank? I loved this thing, but it looks like it took a hell of a nerf. Engine power hamstrung, the APCR pen is lower than the previous AP pen, lower speed, and +2 seconds to reload. It gets better MM, but it's not even fun anymore.
