There are no budget decks anymore. Any viable deck requires at least 6 legendaries. Closest thing to budget you can find is most basic aegis but it's shit and you still need 3 legos.

Unfortunately shadow is one of my weakest crafts.. I have barely any golds for it and only just recently got the cerb and eachtar.

They basically removed the best performing deck from the game with their changes. So if we wanted to make a similar comparison to this expansion the changes should probably be just making prince catacomb and Eachtar unplayable.

But seriously, they are pretty incompetent. They destroyed the roach deck because it was too strong, but then they go and create something even more overpowered the next expansion. And they INTENTIONALLY made the cards for shadow strong this time, where as last expansion they admitted they didn't even realize roach decks were going to be a thing. Which is sad because without the roach deck, ladder would have been dominated by a single fucking class. They are so bad at design they tried to create a scenario where only one class had a T1 deck but thankfully they overlooked goblin mage and at least there was a second option for people to use.

Even after the nerfs, Daria was still overpowered and Rune was still the most played class despite the legions of morons going back to playing D-shift and making runes winrate look awful once again. The only reason people even switched to sword was because it was a "new" thing to bandwagon onto plus generally being the more popular class historically.

I don't know why I have any hope for this game, all signs point to them continuing this type of design. Feels like the game balance in DE was just a happy accident at this point.

The roach deck that existed before is nothing like the ones that exist now.

Previously it was an aggro deck with quite a few one-drops used to get in early chip damage and put your opponent in the kill-zone for a roach finish on turn 5/6. The current roach decks are more like control/combo decks where the player waits until they have enough cards assembled to kill their opponent with much larger damage combos (and achieves this by stalling with wards, removals and heals).

Roach decks before could easily end games on turns 5-7. New roach decks basically end 2-3 turns later because their early game is a lot slower. The consistency difference and inability to use a bunch of 1-drops effectively killed the aggro-roach deck playstyle.

Does anyone else use Simone in control sword? I feel like she's really underappreciated, she doesn't do anything flashy but I've found her to be pretty solid with her flexibility. It feels better than running Maid Leader now since you might as well concede vs shadow playing a 1/1 on 2, so the only other competition is Seria whose effect I almost never proc.

Dragon mirrors are just pure autism where you are speculating what the other dragon player has in his hand and if you should make your move this turn or wait another and play it safe. It doesn't help that dragon mirrors to last 15+ turns into the game as long as both parties are on equal standing. It is really stressful, especially when you lose a 15+ turn long game due to a single mistake you made, which is why I hate it.
