To be fair, Joker would have gotten curious and start messing around with the Metanav anyways, probably would have befriended Ryuji as well.

They could have beaten Madarame's dungeon without Yusuke's help, although it would have been significantly more difficult.

Kaneshiro was fucking with everyone from their school, I'm sure they would have gotten a request for him eventually.

They had no answer to Medjed but that was Shido's crew purposefully creating a problem that had no solution so it's excusable.

They likely would have found a way around Okumura's door without Haru, either by messing with shit in the real world or getting the help of some disgruntled employee who's a PT fan.

I'm not sure Shido was a coincidence, if you consider the prologue incident to be what got Yaldy to choose Joker in the first place.

The way the girls basically have to fight over the spotlight in P5 is pretty stupid, especially because it doesn't happen with the boys. Ryuji and Yusuke never force anyone else out of focus with their inclusion, but each female cast member forces the previously introduced one out except for Haru, who gets shafted the hardest out of everyone.

And I'm not saying that Makoto has no flaws, I think she does. The problem is that as soon as Makoto joins the group Ann does NOTHING EVER AGAIN. She is literally there to react to things. The same goes for Makoto once Futaba joins. Just look at how much shit Futaba does in the Space Station and Casino dungeons, she's the reason any of it is possible. Just like Ann was the reason advancing in the Museum was possible and Makoto was the reason advancing in the Bank was possible.

Haru also briefly gets this in the Space Station right at the start but after that she basically never matters again. Haru could be removed from the game and almost nothing would have to change. Compared to the other three who are all significantly more important at different stages.

That's because Morgana always gets focus because he knows all the plot stuff and there's only 2 guys vs the 4 girls. And both Ryuji and Yusuke are introduced early in the game and get plenty of focus besides that.

If groo actually was with the party for longer than two weeks they'd probably have issues with the guys stealing focus also.

Yusuke doesn't force anyone out because he basically disappears after the second dungeon and the only time he's included is when he's needed to provide comic relief. Ryuji, Morgana, and Goro are all way more important than him and Goro does kind of steal the spotlight for the whole of the casino dungeon.

That's exactly the point, though. Yusuke doesn't take any significant attention away from Ryuji over the course of the entire game but as soon as Makoto is important to the plot she forces Ann out almost entirely.
