When they do a zone attack with their guard away from the side the zone comes from it will display an indicator for the guard they are in and then quickly show the real indicator for the zone. It's most common for roaches, they will stay in top guard so when you see an attack conning from the top you never know if it's a top light or a zone, you just need to guess.

I think playing around Shoulder Bash is more interesting than the defense meta is. It should be more easily punishable, so the fight is actually decided off of whoever reads correctly, but other than that it's a great move.

he has a alot of things he can do that you cant escape but my test partner was experiencing connection issues so could go either way but it seems like

also he doesn't even have to do anything he can just stand there and you cant punish him while he figure out if you react dodge or premeptive dodge, he can just block your next attack and then act accordingly based on what hes seen you do

its just too much of a reward to get for just blocking an attack, which you can run into 20+ of these situations and its just plain not fun

which just makes you not want to ever attack him from neutral, which makes the game shit

This. My Warden is rep 27, and in high level when I just choose not to shoulder bash, I struggle immensely. Nobody tries to parry heavies, they just wait for you to throw a light out there - and when you do it's immediately parried.

They just keep their guard left and wait for something. God knows why it's a free GB on whiff/block/if someone is behind you.

The top light is reactable and able to be parried from a different guard.

Warlord has literally everything in the kit. Check out his moveset compared to other classes, the scrollwheel is so fucking long. Hyper armor on all heavies, Orochi-speed side lights, headbutt, a leaping heavy followed up with a headbutt, insane push distance, he can abuse recovery frames to surfboard you for miles and miles when you're out of stamina, his CC game is insane when you're getting ganked by him, and on certain maps he can spawn camp you and keep ledging you (notably High Fort and River Fort).

He has so much more but I don't feel like listing it all. He's just insane.

He has somewhat of a 50/50 on shoves. Which means he has somewhat of a 50/50 on blocks, since blocks confirm a shove. The light attack following a shove is now faster, and cannot be blocked/parried, however it can be dodged, and I think deflected. It's kind of a 50/50 because you can try and dodge the light, and get GB'd, or you can stay to tech the GB, and eat a light. Maybe not a true 50/50 though, as you can react to what he does.

It goes further though, as you can do a heavy instead of a light/GB, which I believe will hit the person, if they dodged. Not too sure on that, but it's happened to me.

You can now get a side heavy off of a long arm.

Supposedly you can get an impale charge off of any parry now, as opposed to only light parries before. There were posts on here claiming that it wasn't working, but I haven't tested it myself/there was another patch afterwards that might've fixed it.

The light riposte now stuns as an additional effect.

Some damage buffs that I don't remember the specifics of.

I also think his lights after heavies are faster now as well, but this is based on personal experience, and I don't remember there being anything of the sort in patchnotes. I might've forgotten though.

Maybe some other shit I might have forgotten.

Overall, it's faster/easier to kill shitters with him, but still no way to open up turtles, which is what everybody fucking asked for.

Kensei teaches you to feint and do more than daydream into the exact same combo every time. He doesn't really have any defining repetition combo unless you count GB->something, you string moves together on the fly. Kensei's weaknesses are that he doesn't have much health and very short throw distance, the zone attack is slow, but goes back to front so it catches people out now and then. Attack speed is average, damage is good, guard switch is fast.

I think "getting" Kensei is being aggressive and learning how to feint, he doesn't have any kind of stagger/bash move and all of his stuff comes from grabs and attacks, which I imagine is why people have trouble playing Kensei in a game ruled by defense, but that's where the feinting comes in; A good Kensei does Berserker-tier feinting, and a feint still initiates a chain. Playing Kensei feels like using a pool of moves rather than one set string, but you don't have any kind of "vortex" or stunlock spam to trap people in, you basically have to grab and feint your way to killing them outright.
