The Ninian/Aqua poster really needs to fuck off. I love my Ninian, but Azura is undeniably better due to having TA built in. She can shut down reds and still carry Fury to combat some blues. Ninian has the option to run distant counter with LB+, but she should really stick with Light Breath+ for the extra buffs she can offer. Also who cares, they're both great refreshers.

I don't find challenge playthroughs fun honestly. Like, I get the appeal, but minmaxing is only fun when I'm doing it myself, not when I'm watching someone else go through the process.

I like the ideas behind Ghast and Mangs' channels in theory, but not in execution. Mangs did a "pick my edits" series where he would play a hacked ROM with a bunch of follower-requested edits along the way, but it was so full of memes and in-jokes that it killed the fun of most of it. Ghast did a Fates randomized run that could've been nice but he never really did anything fun with it and his roster got crazy overpowered pretty early on.

RD's maps are generally good, it's the constant switching of armies that ruins it for me. FE is supposed to be about building your army from fags in rags to buff super soldiers and RD's format undermines that whole aspect of the series.

Ironically, as much hate as Gaiden and Echoes get, I still think it handled split armies the best in the entire series.

I somewhat disagree. Yeah, it's extremely boring to watch someone play a game where each map is 1-2 hours long, but there's plenty of LPers that have fun commentary during cutscenes. Agent Elrond for example(before she abandoned her channel to go full furfag mode) got me through my own PoR and RD playthrough by watched hers back-to-back.

You don't need to be a hype man to make a FE video fun to watch, just simply have clever jokes and actually know what you're talking about.

Mangs does a bit more pre-3DS, hack oriented content. Like I mentioned, Pick My Edits is a good example of that, but he also partnered with Ghast on a create a map series that involved quick hack playthroughs. I think the appeal of his content tends to be more based on the novelty or entertainment factor of the hacks and games he's playing.

Ghast's channel is way more 3DS-FE oriented, where he does a mix of playthroughs like the randomizer one and an Awakening ironman. He also does a few non-playthrough videos like the Support Science videos and his podghasts. The entirety of his appeal, like most modern LPers, is probably based more on his personality than anything- if you like him, you watch him. I don't agree with a lot of his analysis that he tends to present as fact, both in regards to narrative and gameplay, but he does fill a niche in that regard that I don't see many other people do for FE.

That build is good. He has tons of defense, so he's surprisingly durable even with low speed. Just be mindful of mages. Stick with Aether for follow up heal, or go Luna for instant kill.

If you decide to invest, the usual Fury/Vantage build is good, since it makes -Spd less of an issue on enemy turn once he takes 6 damage. If you're a whale, you can also run Savage Blows to put more targets into range of dying to Vantage.
