I recently completed the Forbidden Woods for the first time, went left to the Forbidden Grave and now I'm stuck in the Tower of Rituals.
Well actually I haven't managed to enter the tower yet because those ridiculous horse-riding hunters keep oneshotting me with that bullshit charge that hits you even if you're behind them.
I can't even go back because the main gate is closed and I don't have enough echoes to warp with the lamp.

so ive been using the blunderbuss since ive always used the pistol and noticed a few things

firstly, the blunderbuss hitstuns many more enemies than i thought, at first i thought this was good, but then i started getting mixed in with bosses getting a free neutral reset if i hit them but they dont get parried

secondly, since theres multiple hits, i feel like the timing for the parry is a little bit bigger, and i do find that i parry more, however, there's been quite a few times that i get knocked down and they get parried(due to bigger window) but i cant get the riposte off since im effectively stunned

what are your guys' thoughts on the blunderbuss, decent alternative to pistol? or a real blunder?

I feel like it's a good alternative to the pistol, and I use both regularly. It trades the distance and easier parries of the pistol much better crowd control, in both senses of the term. It has much higher stagger potential, so even if you shoot too early you still avoid having an attack thrown out, and it also quite literally handles crowds better than the pistol can (once managed to parry two enemies at once).

I find it invaluable against certain enemies and when I'm playing as a cooperator, as parry timing is fucked.

Yeah, the Blunderbuss's scattershot works incredibly well at hitting people who try to dodge around you. The wide cone makes it great for annoying frequent dodgers.

Yeah there is heaps they could do with it, instead of having a million different chalices each depth has one chalice which can be modified by your offerings. You have the standard story and root. make sinister something you can apply to any chalice. The regular FRC effects that effect droprates are fine. But then you could have other effects. Boss rush like you said, speedrunning with ingame recorded times with splits for layers, time limited runs, permanent status effect areas full of poison mist, no hit runs, stat reduction runs and so on. Then you can combine those if you want.

Gem droprates in these dungeons would be made worse than just regular FRC root dungeons to prevent people exploiting challenge dungeons for easy farms, or to ensure you don't have to farm in some bullshit poison speedrun bl4 boss rush dungeon.

Level design in Nioh was great. The only legitimate complaint that can even be leveled against the game is enemy variety. That's literally the only thing that has any grounding, everything can be attributed to not suiting your tastes.

Throwing kunai builds are pretty fun and can get you through NG for the most part. Though I would rather do two 2kat elementals for causng discord. If you really need to blow up the game and are just aiming to complete NG just roll 1kat kingos.

Started this character at noon yesterday, here we are now. This skill build is starting to shape up nicely.
