One can hope gracia is un-nerfed and possibly even buffed, but knowing sega that wont be the case now. I've left some stuff out of the Hu tree. I run full S-ATK boosts on mine but if you want to pick up Massive hunter and some S-ATK boosts (prioritise getting S-ATK boost 3 first since it gives the most when maxed). If you do decide to go full S-ATK boosts; you'll have 4 points remaining. You can decide to use these on getting Never give up or War brave, take your pick there.

Hybrid build, left points out on the Hu tree if you want to pick up Automate (taking this means you don't need quickmate and can use the point for something in katana's tree. You'll be doing Banish + Kamikaze arrow x2 when doing hybrid (can use Chase arrow x3 as preparation if you have the time/PP before doing your combo)

As for rings: Air reversal, Step jump, Crit striking, Perfect keeper striking, PP convert and EPPR are all great (the first one being the best since every class benefits from it, step is melee use).

You'll want to max Massive hunter due to a longer duration, better resist and shorter cooldown. Iron will is still RNG, even at max rank. One point into it is enough. Automate is playstyle preference. Do you want to automatically use mates while using a PA when you take a hit? I'll give you a warning though; it'll put you into a bad habit of not dodging/parrying when you should be.

Get the left side of the Hu tree done first since you'll want the stance + JA bonus first (pick up heal guard on the way, it's one point and very nice to have. Those two points into step advance are nice too). Put a point into Iron will and Warcry after all that and then decide if you want more ATK or more survival skills (even though Br/Hu has plenty of survivability).

Also, a quick note about the skill sim. If you hover over the skill; you can get some details about what it does and stuff.

Two points is enough for step advance. You could go for never give up or Warbrave with those left over points. Those last points would be gained once you've met the requirements to get level 80 and are on your way to do so.

I really wish techniques had the same amount of dps documentation that PAs have. The people on XH blocks are people with fresh 75s, no one has gear. You do know that not everyone who plays the game is some veteran, right? I was busy at the top of the hour a few days ago so I had to get a run outside expert blocks and both runs were the most god awful shit with people wearing unaffixed and ungrinded units. It's a 12 man group, you can't carry it yourself. The only constant in 12 man pubs are you and good luck doing 30m damage by yourself. It's not a big deal really but Deus Esca was basically wasn't doable outside expert blocks.

The two runs I did were pretty fresh looking characters. Gryphon/Ideal units and sub 13* on half the MPA.

They needed to nerf Deus Esca for people like this because Sega has an obsession with only allowing one piece of content to be relevant at a time. Any other CF worth a shit was taken out so if you can't do Deus Esca, there's no point in playing. I'm no game dev but I can tell you that making it really fucking irritating for new players to get into your game is a bad idea. People love pointing to Wow being best when it was hardcore but forget that WoW didn't even come close to its peak playerbase until they added a lot of catch up mechanics and casual friendly activities. In PSO2 you grind experience (a fresh player needs 252 million experience to get their first 80/80 nowadays, compared to 80m to level cap prior to level 80) and then you grind for gear. Since Sega hates anything but the most recent EQ being ran, a new player has no choice but to run just that. If they absolutely need to be on expert blocks to complete the eq which they pretty much did, after they leveled they wait around 18-30 days depending on how much they can play if they don't want to spend SG and then they can get a welfare 13* which they got by running the exact same shit they just finished level capping in. Now that they're on expert blocks, they'll just replace that weapon within 2 weeks of running Deus Esca. I'm not sure about you, but this sounds like a complete dogshit game to get into if you weren't already playing pso2.

TLDR: The new player experience fucking SUCKS right now and nerfing Deus Esca was a bandaid for that until they work it out.

It's more of a design issue (i.e. the block system and the lack of a proper queue) that they've unfortunately decided to keep working around rather than overhaul, as opposed to an "obsession" with keeping the player base focused on one thing at a time.

Its shortcomings have become more pronounced in the past one or two years but but this is definitely something that can't be fixed overnight

How to fix the game:
They should just remove XH blocks and make them all expert. Also make XH difficulty for major EQs only available in those blocks. This will allow SEGA to make more difficult content, as the people in XH blocks would be relatively well geared and not completely braindead. It would also make a tangible goal for new players to strive for, as it would open up doors for further character progression.
Make collect sheets like Revo, Aura and Ray permanent, adjust requirements accordingly so you can easily obtain a +35 13* weapon in SH.
Revamp affixing so it's more streamlined, and easier to get into. Move it away from being a spreadsheet simulator, and maybe more similar to pet's candybox system.
Make content last. Always give players incentive to continue doing the new Ult Quest or whatnot. Sheets help with this.
Make 13* weapons tradeable.

The new player experience is unlocking all the free fields and then spamming AQs/Level Up quests until level cap. I don't know about the experience you guys had with your friends (do you even have any?) but everyone I tried to get into this game burnt out before they level capped because there's not a whole lot you can do with them besides run the same fields grinding exp over and over. You're underestimating how big the casual playerbase in this game is. After solo PD had been out for weeks only about ~7.6% of players had S-ranked it. Considering I can easily S-rank solo PD on my alt, I wouldn't say it was hard at all. Keep in mind that they said Phaleg fight would be very difficult and they predicted only 2.5% less players clearing that compared to Solo PD S-ranks (at the time they announced the numbers.)

How far would you get before giving up on a cast time reduction ragrants craft? At 0.59 seconds I already run out of PP even with PP convert active on anything that lets you laser it for a while, should I even bother getting close to the full 0.70 sec reduction? It's 90k meseta per craft if you have to busy pa fragments, this adds up real quick.

Fornis was never the best if that class had a viable Gix. Gix and now Zeinesis/Qliphad outclass Fornis in damage by a fair margin. Fornis is still good because of the health regen, but it's not the damage king it briefly was.

So I came back to the game after some time and tried buying a 10 star weapon just cuz and it I was able to get it. Did they remove the weapon pass feature? Afterwards I got a set of 12 star gear no problem. I never obtained any passes so I guess this restriction is gone?

At least you only said main class. That's still 166 million experience in order to do anything but run VHAQ/LUQs. A pretty small minority of players actually do things like exit burst. Leveling in this game isn't interesting enough to force people to sit through that much of it. if they want to segregate higher end players they should at least give people something to do besides the most recent EQ. Expert blocks are piss easy to get into anyway, they're just time consuming for a new player who has spent an awful lot of time doing boring, tedious shit before getting to anything worth playing the game for.

That boost week was definitely a godsend, I'm glad we're getting another one in a few days. I did 75-80 entirely with 2 weeks of boost keys I lined up to expire the day of the boost week starting so I could use the most keys during it. I have a tokyo gold and 3 rappy keys for this next one so I'm hoping I can 77-80 another class with keys this week. I have 5 classes capped so far, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Not until it's ground and at least 45 element to beat that Nox. Do Laia's COs when they're off cooldown and get it to max ele. It's a solid weapon, and there's not really much to choose from until you're 75/75. You can also use it to level your Fi sub. You should probably also get your Nox to +30, since at the end of the day it's going to be fodder to grind your 13* weapon.

You don't upslot the final affix for 7s or 8s. You probably won't be able to get the good stuff like mod and flict without using weapon factors either, since they're so rare at high slots.

I'm pretty sure almost all the people that do 7 or 8s weapons with good affixes just shove a whole bunch of special ability factors together for the guaranteed final affix. The major cost to this is having the requisite +35 weapons (mostly 13*, flict is an 11*), and upslotting them all to 7 or 8s.

Te/Hu is pretty much the way the class was meant to be played, but I personally prefer Te/Br. It is notorious for having the lowest dps in the game (tied with bouncer), but that doesn't mean it's a bad class. You won't use techniques to attack, only for support and utility, like razan to flip enemies. To do more damage, build full atk (s and t) and always use weak element weapons (the ele change ring helps).
