It uses Jho's one, iirc. But yes, it does. Because it's super, the initial pin takes like 3/4 hp+, I'm left with like 1-2 bites of hp so you can't escape it by yourself without dung if solo.

How tough is G5 Silverwind Narga? I'm really wanting a usable Deviant wep and I can't go through G5 Hellblade again. I guess I can just use my level 14 Hellblade weapon but that 10 less raw and 5 less blast is going to trigger my autism.

So I am trying out striker lance and is it supposed to feel like nothing is happening and then the monster dies? Like it's obvious that the monster hits stagger limits or something breaks but the charge finisher has no weight or movement behind it. It kind of feels unsatisfying.

When I tried doing that some weird things happened. Like for instance the character preview before you continue was still the old gender but the model ingame was the new one. Also, gender specific armor isn't swapped automatically. If you try to wear male specific armor on a female model then the armor doesn't appear on the character. I would recommend using the X to XX method as that takes care of everything

Did just that. Managed to survive his first enraged form but he went into it again and completely destroyed me once more. Gore is completely unrelenting when frenzied and gives me no room to breathe. Completely different beast to what I've had to deal with before.

Are there fan-designed monsters floating around? Because I just don't have enought with the 191 main series monsters (discounting felynes and co, shakalas and fishes) of which 70 are palette swaps or SFX versions of the base monster.

My 4U progression was:

-LR Tetsucabra set
-LR Gore set
-HR Gore set
-G rank Seregios set + Seregios weapon
-G rank Chameleos set + Chameleos weapon

And then i stopped there and just upgraded the last 2 sets to maximum because poison is really good in 4U and i like the Chameleos set in general.
Plus i consider it a "4U thing", in 3U and Gen i went for maximum crits instead, so in my mind 4U was the game where i focused completely on poison, it was nice doing something different.
It was extremely straightforward, at least for me.

No. You need evade extender when adept or brave don't, and you don't have any good arts to make use of. Gunpowder reload takes too long for how often you need to use it.

However, it's not like you can't use it. I've kinda been wanting to try it out with silverwind armor because I hate the adept/brave playstyle.

For weapons, just about anything will do as long as it's as upgraded as possible currently. Jaggi armor is good. Attack up is a good skill to have.

No, get rid of styles too. Lance already has guard lancing and evade lancing, but you aren't shoehorned into one or the other because of what style you pick, which is what styles do. There's two distinct styles that emerged organically, and that's how it should be.

Look at GS. Since crit draw's inception, draw slashes have been the way to go. But in X, that changed to where high crit with the strong charge is a viable alternative. But again, it has nothing to do with styles, just emergent gameplay, if you wanna call it that.

The charge slash is fucked in 4U. It's so slow and finicky compared to Gen. Sometimes I'll hold A and nothing happens. That never happens in Gen. And there's no GP with the 4U charge blades charge slash. You can't even charge the shield in SnS mode in 4U without doing some weird combo that moves you all over the place. It just feels slow and clunky all around. Monsters zoom around you like you're a snail. Adept charge blade is a straight upgrade from 4Us charge blade.

The best way to get good is to pick a weapon that looks cool and hunt a lot with it. Watch a tutorial video to learn what you can, but skill really just comes from practice. When you find a weapon you like, there are also guides that'll tell you about things like what armor sets are good, what skills are good for your weapon, and of course what weapons to aim to build.

It can be daunting to dive head-first into MH without somebody to guide you, but if you look around all the information is out there. And of course, you can always come ask /mhg/ if you're really stumped (but don't always expect us to be helpful.)

Most people would tell you yes, you should complete the village quests before heading online. Personally, I don't think it matters all that much. Playing with randoms can be frustrating though, so I definitely recommend at least doing a little offline stuff before going online so that you can have some grip on what you're doing.

For me it has to do with my number one reason for playing the game. I like the weapon variety, I am not an exceptional gamer to be really honest, and that means I can spend a long time learning the art of using each weapon proficiently. It is kind of an exercise for me and I love it when I detect actual progress in my gameplay. I think even players closer to the highest levels will still find they have room for improvement. You aren't born a Japanese speedrunner after all. I do also feel like MH has some of the best multiplayer action.

Go to ping's dex, weapons, LBG, fully upgraded and filter to weapons that can rapid fire the element you want to use, then see in they have both Element shot lvl 2 and Pierce Elemental shot lvl 1 or lvl 2 as internal shots, the one that fits all of these criteria is, likely, the best LBG for that element
