So who are the people whining about Dragon being the worst to play against?

If I am playing Sword I'd rather face Dragon over Shadow. If I'm playing Forest I'd rather face Dragon over Shadow. If I'm playing Blood I'd rather face Dragon over Shadow. If I'm playing Rune I'd rather face Dragon over Shadow. If I'm playing Dragon I'd rather a mirror match than face Shadow. Even if I'm playing Shadow I'd rather play Dragon over playing the fucking coinflip simulator garbage that is the Shadow mirror match. The majority of my losses across every single class has come from mid-shadow these past few weeks.

The only class in the game that I'd rather face Shadow instead of Dragon is Haven. Unless I'm playing storm haven, in which case I'd rather play against fucking Dragon. So are the whiners aegis playing hag-fags? Control-cucks who play the most garbage non-meta decks who delude themselves into believing dragon is the problem and not the fact that their deck is just out-dated shit? Daria fags butthurt about not being t1 and blaming it on dragon (even though Daria gets smashed by shadow nearly as hard). Shadowniggers false-flagging and deflecting blame onto Dragon?

The only other reason I could come up with is that these people play very few decks and thus have no idea how annoying it is to have one single deck be so strong against every other in the game.

They purposely make forest cards with higher pp than they should now all because of forests past with festival and homecoming.
For example ivy should be 2pp instead of 3. It effectively is a 5pp card that does 2 face damage and 3 damage to a follower, a weaker DoD.
If it was 2pp it would be playable, it would certainly make the idea of a control forest deck more realistic.

Hey, I was here the other day complaining that I won't be able to make every card in the game as F2P. I decided to give up on that dream, and just get every card that actually sees any play.

Well that's your subjective experience, and in my experience I would rather face dragon than play against wolf-bolt as a control Haven deck. The only thing you can play and win with as Haven is storm, and when I play storm I feel like I have a fair chance against most decks in the game right now which means I don't have anything to complain about there.

More people just need to play storm instead of trying to play shitty Aegis decks, I found that out the 1st week of the expansion. And the data backs up what I said, Storm Haven doesn't have a matchup worse than 47% right now, which is pretty fair if you ask me.

I just was really stubborn and refused to craft anything, so now I'm stuck in this shitty meta because all my old decks are useless and I don't have dragon or shadow. Slow and bad control decks. Think CSword/CBlood/old dirt rune. I tried to play commandercraft, and it felt far worse to be matched against Dragon than Shadow.

Against midshadow, there's something to control. Even if you fail horribly to control the game, you're still the control deck against an aggressive deck, the game makes sense. Dragon is the best control deck and has better tools to control AND end the game. You'll have nothing to control while Rowen ramps, and when he's at 10pp, he will crush you with huge Storm, unavoidable damage (grimnir/ouro), or both. With each loss, you'll think "why bother play this deck when I can play Dragon?".

No, Eyfa is an example of a balanced enhance card.
At 3pp Eyfa is a slightly weaker trinity dragon, at 7pp she is a slightly weaker Forte. But the versatility of being able to be played at both costs might make her worth playing.
In comparison, at 3pp Grimnir is a stronger curve play than healing angel and at 10pp he is an Imperial Dragoon with no drawback. Zombie Party is another example of a busted modern enhance card.

What was the play here? I ended up using foul tempest, then evolving my follower to kill Yurius instead of Vania, assuming that Vania would be doing less damage unless he had bat synergy. He ended up having more bats in hand and I lost later. Was it still the optimal play?

I think Catacomb will be enough. The whole craft is carried by him right now. He provides Shadows to enable lolisquasher (and eachtar in the late game), he is the reason why Shadow's board is unstoppable, why Orthrus always has value, etc. He'll be nerfed to 4PP, /svg/ will say that it's not enough and it's a slap on the wrist, and when it goes live, Shadow will lose at least 10% playrate and settle at 20%. I think 4 is enough. The biggest problem I face right now is catacomb coming down on three and then the next turn being followed up with guaranteed Orthrus or Reaper value.

Like a 1-drop -> 2-drop -> Catacomb -> reaper/reapers play is literally impossible for people to deal with if shadow is going first. And then if you evolve your minion to try and kill anything you just buff the reapers and leave yourself completely vulnerable to getting soul squashed the next turn.

Maybe 4 pp catacomb and 5 shadow soulsquasher would be enough.

With 10pp dragon you can just pray to rng gods. Doesn't matter how many tsubaki, alberts, fangblade slayers you have.

But if you've played a lot of Shadow you should realize that even if you draw him on 4 and play him it's still very strong most of the time and the shadow generation is still enough to snowball you to late game unless you got completely cleared. 4pp and not giving a skeleton to himself would do more to bring him in line than just the pp nerf. It makes it so he doesn't reach parity with Bone Chimera if you have just 1 other follower on board but still let's you have potentially strong turns if you have a board developed.

Mate I ranked up to masters with mid-range shadow so I played more than enough. I'm not looking to kill the deck, just reduce the horrible early game snowball effect the deck has from being able to drop catacomb on turn 3. Early skeletons giving shadows to turn 5 squasher or mega boost reapers is the biggest problem.

I'm fine with the deck being able to still have mid/late game power, it's just knowing you already lost on turn 4 which is the most bullshit aspect of it.

Shit. Zell should be a 2/2 when evo. The fact that he can kill most x/3 wards (grimnir included) is why he's obnoxious. Also, being able to combo with Sahaquiel for the storm bahamuts is bullshit. They should probably make it cost more or affect only dragon craft.

The problem is that it guarantees a heal at end of turn. If you're ever in the situation where you can flat out remove Sybil, you've already lost the game. Forest shits on dirt with wolfbolt and roach. Forest outheals dirt, outwards dirt, and has real win-conditions. Literally all dirt can do in this matchup is stall until they inevitably lose.

Blood, especially Kys blood, has tons of storm and burn damage and an aggressive early game. Only the burn damage dirt decks are good against blood.

I know there were a lot of people complaining about Midsword and Forest back then as well, but the majority of the complaints went to Elana, because losing to mass heals and Seraph feels like shit, just like losing to Dragon heals and Zell burst does right now. You see much more people complaining about Dragon. Yet Dragon is worse than Shadow, just like Elana was worse than Midsword and Forest.
I am not saying Dragon is balanced. My point is that people don't bother complaining about what is strong specifically, they complain about what they find annoying to play against.

No one's even denying that Shadow's a major problem with the state of the game. There ARE people here denying Dragon's hand in everything though. Dragon and Shadow make up the entirety of the meta for a reason, and Shadow's bullshit in particular is literally the only thing keeping Dragon in check. It's not a good state to be in.

You can't tell me that the class needed more ramp, heal, clear, draw, AND storm, sometimes with multiples of those on the same card. It's just the Hearthstone philosophy of giving Warrior every identity and making sure the class did them each individually better than classes who thrived on just one of those identities.

Haven can beat it easier than it can beat Shadow. Control isn't dead only because of Dragon. It's dead because Dragon, Shadow, and Forest are the 3 most played classes in Masters right now and all 3 of them beat control more often than they lose. Haven is the 4th, which also beats other Control decks with Aegis.

Basically this. One of the polls here showed that the majority of anons here are shadowcucks so all the hate is always directed at haven. Even last expansion when Haven was barely a T1 deck they still shat on seraph and tried to shit on Aegis (except it turned out to be hot garbage).
