Since he's a lot better in CF his execution has gone up, it's most noticeable in character specific stuff where you gotta do lots of really fast microdashes and extremely clean inputs(like in the drive loop, having to do like 4d-8-2d instead of4d-9-2d or 4d-7-2d) and very fast.
I've been experimenting with round start OD and trying to find something that works on all characters, after watching Mitsuru you can get the drive loop start really consistent by doing 22CCC-OD-6B-microdash2c-delay4d-loop but if you do that you gotta do the loop perfectly or your 2d will either put them behind you somehow, or your 4d will whiff after one iteration. Aside from that you really gotta input it quick or OD will run out before the second J.2D meaning you won't get a snake bite ender for the extra meter/damage.
Aside from that there's also the 5c-j.2d combo for extra corner carry/meter on crouching(and some standing) opponents, various microdashes in grabs for 5d-6d loops, all all assortment of other wonderful painful things

Again, much of that is solely because of character specific ODs that are poorly balanced. OD is a nice way to both make the game more geared towards offense while simultaneously providing an incredibly strong defensive tool against pressure, making the game more volatile which is enjoyable in my opinion. Frankly I prefer the way it's handled in CF way more than any version of CP, and AF is one of the reasons why.

I found rev easier to pickup than BB, BB has longer combos and, and character specific mechanics are more varied/weird.
BB also has less system mehcnaics you can take advantage of early only as a new player to get immediate results. It's just IMO but using YRC to get in/get outplay neutral is a lot more natural(in gg) then using OD over burst.
But GG has a lot more weird technical stuff like characters having different weights and wake up timings.
If I had to say it's like, early on you can rely more on system mechanics in GG rather than pure matchup knowledge, but matchup knowledge in GG is more important because some characters can run you over in every aspect if you're not sure how they work

BB has a more restrictive combo system in that combos need to be done in certain ways. GG is more varied but the hitstun and juggling are tighter and that makes them harder for me personally.

Adding to this, you have a lot like certainty when you get a hit in BB, like you get your hit-you do your combo you practiced even if it's some weird hit, you might have to change your combo a little but it'll basically be a variation of something you practiced.

Focus on learning some basic combos of different types of common starters. After that, you can begin playing pretty casually against other people to grasp the rest, but you always have to be in the grind in training mode even then to learn better stuff. It's a pretty basic outline on what to do, but it's easier to get started with the game that way since learning combos is a pretty straightforward thing to do.
Also, ask your opponents for advice or what mistake you've made.

Ezyoi for example, can in OD whiff cancel her DP into a teleport, she's basically like I-no (from GG) but easier...and better. Her 2a is a goddamn low she has tons of IOH bullshit, if she goes OD it's basically *put down the controller senpai* type shit, really dangerous reversal super, massive damage, etc. Like does everything, really really well.
Jin bullies almost entire cast with neutral with amazing buttons, a j.c that can't be contested by 98% of the cast, pressure that is "if you can't IB this you're gonna have to hold everything he's doing" spooky as shit resets, 19(?) frame OH(needs meter or CH to combo off of though), really good use of OD to convert any random hit into massive damage. Basically controls the match against most characters, where it's Jin time all the time unless Jin messes up(or is playing against another top/high tier)

Drive mechanic allows for smooth and seamless interaction with Central Fiction's new system mechanics and resource cycle.
Special overhead hammer that hops forward over foot attribute moves and is plus on block makes pressure very scary.
Combos are ridiculously straightforward, have consistent damage and get a ton of corner carry.
Oki and spacing after knockdowns are very reliable anywhere on the screen which benefits an aggressive rushdown playstyle.
Charge cancelling, delay-able whiff-followup normals and the ability to cancel specials into other specials provide pressure, frame trap, and mix up flexibility.
Install gauge specials and cross-through attribute special shield bash grant remarkable control over the end positioning of combos and can be used to annoy the opponent in neutral.
Has a command grab that fills her install gauge.
Fireballs and blade super provide good neutral control and setups.
DP that can be made 'safe' by using the install gauge.

It's one thing to lose and be like "ok what did I do wrong" but every fucking match its like, they keep doing the exact same attack, so I learn to get around it after seeing it like twice, I hit them 1-2 times, and then they just fucking turn the switch and proceed to do 80% of my life in one combo with an overdrive finish. Then next round starts and they fucking body me and astral because it's not bad enough you already shit on me one round.
Like there's no fucking learning curve. If I hit someone more than twice they start the fucking rape engine and win 2 rounds in under 45 seconds. Even if I just try to block as much as I can they'll just like "oh ok you blocked these 37 safe attacks here's this fucking overhand I was holding onto for JUST this occasion that also locks your burst and still lets me combo 65% of your life bar"
I love thse games and i want to play them but this is literal fucking suffering, let alone PC is fucking dead and Ive only seen like 4 people in 30 matches there's maybe ONE lobby up at a time and it's always 0 bars.
