Valkyrie Drive or Final Fantasy X ?

I like VD's graphics, gameplay and fanservice a lot.

The only things I like about FF X is the music, sphere grid customization and using aeons.

The problem is that I can only buy one of these two games and I don't know which one to buy.

The gameplay consists of searching the house for coins and then using the coins to attempt a test. During the test you play a simple minigame.

For the searching part the only thing you do is press O and walk around. You can challenge idols or be challenged to a word forming minigame, but there is no need to do that at all. The minigame is pretty average and the effects are okay-ish. For the test's minigame they are very simple.

What happens is the gameplay feels boring to play.

The 3D models and death scenes are incredible. However on the other hand the story is really terrible. The "plot" is forced and doesn't quite make sense sometimes.

I appreciate the effort to make things look very nice, but the bad game design is just too much. It may seem like I'm harsh on this game, but relative to the other reviews this is probably considered mild.

It's one of my favorite games of all time. Very, very creative action game that understands how to do simple, fun action, but can also be sublimely beautiful at times.

The controls take a lot of getting used to, and you'll probably beat the game just as you start to understand them. But I can promise that as soon as you beat the game, you'll want to play it again, and again, as it gets more fun the more familiar you are with it. (There are also street fighter-style inputs that you may have to look up that are essential to beating the game).

Just play on easy (the default difficulty). Man was not meant to put up with the higher difficulties of this game.

You're about right. I can tell PQube what titles to pursue but ultimately the decision falls to the suits higher up and then the Japanese side has to be receptive on top of that. I will say that I've been successful so far, though. The system is kind of demanding, even though it's sort of turn based.

There is a lot of calculation as they need to project what happens in the timeline and animate / show them. Each character's action is not turn based, but a continuous chain of actions within a time frame (and you can adjust the timing to use said actions). So when you have 4 of them using skills (which themselves are flashy and elaborate) and interacting with each other it can be a fairly heavy load.

Plus bad programming maybe.
