You don't need Kalimos or even Blazecallers to play Ele Shaman, although at least one 420blazeit is recommended. Similar to Shaman in classic/GVG, Green Jesus now once again fills the niche as the class that fucks over other midrange decks and loses to everything else. I literally just made a poverty (not really) deck today (jade package helps with late game if no Kalimos)

I used this list, but replaced 1 blazecaller with Lightning Storm and 1 with WIIIIINDS. You can probably make similar subs based on how those cards function, or just add more removal like 2 Storms or a Devolve to double down on dicking Murloc Paladin, Hunter, Egg Druid and Pirate Warrior.

You will lose HARD vs. Freeze and Priest without Kalimos though and Cave Rogue/Dragon Priest is basically unsalvagable, Servant of Kalimos often gives you a Big Guy, though.

In the end I DID have a Rogue quest. 3 wins. Won one for my opponent concede on turn 1, next game I played Core Rogue vs Miracle and won a very close game, and my final win was a very wacky Miracle mirror (same guy as before, he was probably expecting me to play Core again but I bamboozed him) with a lot of weird Rogue shenanigans.
