I played with Leazas, Thieves and Jap and enjoyed it so far.

1) Is Katsuie turned into cavalry by mistake or is it some joke that I don't get?
2) Toshie is bullshit. What's the point of the cannon? I get that him, Ranceko and Rouga are fun and all but considering Japan are pretty op to begin with, it really does affect the gameplay too much.
3) Sepia cannot use guard because of her battlefield construction skill.
4) Lelyukov is tactitian now but he still has his old warrior attack despite having those guys with bows in his sprite.
5) Maris is still shit. Just give her the solo healing that buffs speed.
6) Rance should either get at least 4 action flags or be able to recover flags with Sill healing like in dungeon battles.

From having only played Sengoku Rance? Kenshin was a heroine in that game and had the best route. Kanami was a side character that you'd only get after using resources and she was strictly worse than one of the characters were you forced to have from near the start of the game, so you'd only get her to get Maria and Leila. The Quest is demon extermination in Leazas. Below it you have location name (地名) which is currently Leazas, and difficult degree (難易度) which is currently 1.

The route choice at the middle is between red (ignore the village), and blue (stop by the village).

At the bottom we have military gains (戦果 blue), medal (勲章 red) and food ticket (食券 yellow). choosing the red route gives you a medal after the battle. The blue route may give you military gains after the event (we can see what it''s there, but because it's blue it may be military gains).

Bottom right corner is units/troops composition/formation/organization (部隊編成).

Sounds like they barely were able to contain her in the prison and didn't want to risk her getting out. But then like you said there was no reason for them to have been feeding her. It's probably an oversight by Alicesoft. They could have explained it by the prison having somewhere where she could drink water and eating rats or something to survive until Rance saves her.

I imagine something like a mode where you tell characters what to do and then you can go off as a small party. A commander and troop system sounds like it could be pretty awesome. That way low level units could be soldiers in some high level unit's force. So Rick could be a commander, and then Leila would be a subordinate that you could put in his army.
