The prices for the mann co store are ridiculously outdated, and the only reason why they're priced for that much is because they needed to earn back any money.

Just trade in the keys at backpack.tf for refined metal and you can basically get most of the hats in the game for a cheap affordable price.

Not really surprising considering reddit's entire purpose as a content aggregate makes it absolutely awful at anything outside of exactly that. Discussion there is terrible and amounts to simply circlejerking the top comment and burying dissent while ignoring anything that gets posted late in the thread lifetime. Only time that'll ever be a useful form of feedback is if it's overwhelmingly negative, which you wouldn't need reddit to validate in the first place.
In the same breath, Dane did mention that Jill lurks most everywhere even if he doesn't post. He may be in this very thread. But given the nature of how things go that probably isn't the case unless things are happening and it becomes a lot more reasonable to keep an eye on us here.

If you're trying to create ideal conditions for building an uber and there isn't anyone else who is hurt near you, you could try to deal 100 damage or more to yourself and then hold the escape plan. Though realistically speaking that situation will probably never happen.

i use direct hit all the time but even i know it is bullshit. it isn't hard at all to hit directs when it goes so fast, making it much easier to hit scouts obviously by their cries, which one hits them reliably. and then it does enough damage to kill level 3 sentries in two hits guaranteed. flying faster than stock means it dies even faster too compared to a two hit from stock even let alone 3, less chance for the engineer to react to it. it one hit kills minis which is a 50 percent increase compared to stock with literally no chance for the engineer to do a damn thing about it but hope some pyro manages to reflect it which 99.5 percent can't do reliably. thankfully though i hate engineers with a passion, because their purpose is just to ruin other peoples fun. if they are running rescue ranger im going direct hit just to ruin their match as that is 120 damage against sentries with no fucking falloff, three shots at the most since they are most likely in a fucking corner too far away to beat it with their jag (which repairs less too, wow you are fucked tryhard!) being a faggot kill yourself

How do we fix the massive gap of pub -> competitive awareness in Team Fortress 2? TF2 has had an unusually isolated development of competitive scenes compared to other games like CS:GO where Valve had implemented modes and rules that were conducive to competition. TF2 was just largely ignored while the competitive scene for it grew organically and without much handholding from Valve. As a result the current playerbase doesn't have much awareness that one can even play TF2 in any kind of competitive manner, and Valve seems hesitant to try and challenge the playerbase to learn this late in the game.

Still, it's run speed boost that it gave that used to be a selling point over the other mediguns is now given to all the mediguns, the crossbow can be used for faster healing and an ubercharge that gives invincibility is leagues better than the healing boost the quick-fix charge gives. I think 9v9 pubs could work, actually. Smaller map pool, but no special ranks so it isn't really that competitive to ease the 12 year olds who make up the majority playerbase into the idea of comp and eventually 6s.
