It has probably been asked before, but I just want to make sure. I'm on Shido's palace currently and just opened up the path to the treasure. All I've got left is to send the calling card. Does the game skip you forward in time if you beat the palace? Persona 4 was annoying since you could lose nearly the whole last month if you finish the "final" dungeon early. Does P5 do the same? If so, I want to make sure to wait till the last minute.

Thanks in advance, I would just hate to have to go through tons of cut scenes and a boss fight to find out I lost a whole month because I was proactive. And no guides online make it clear.

People are saying I should be clearing the first palace within two days, and even the network thing says something like 70% of people cleared it first day

Yes and yes, but when I dont constantly force hold ups, I get feel like I'm constantly getting nuked, especially because most enemy groups seem to be 3+ mobs that each take at least 3 melee to kill
