How will he recover?

So I was leveling my alt and I noticed that many maps were completely revealed when I first entered them. I do not remember this happening at all back when I played through the game for the first time. Now that I think about it, the only maps that weren't fully revealed and forced me to map them out piece by piece were those that I had entered many months ago before I had originally stopped bothering with my alt.
