Just beat WW for the first time, and I'm honestly baffled because it doesn't feel like I did anything until the very end.

After the Forsaken Fortress it just felt like there was no real reason to do anything other than get the Master Sword and collect the dungeon items, like I never had a point where I felt like I could break off from the story and just do sidequests and explore, I would just go back to Windfall and some random islands after finishing a dungeon, collect a few pieces of heart and maybe a treasure chart then be on my way.

It never really felt like an adventure, it just felt like I was doing errands for the fucking boat.

That may just be my fault, but it doesn't feel like I rushed through the game. Anyone else have the same problem with WW. or did I just fuck up?

I first played WW when I was a child, so when it first came out. It was one of those games that shaped my childhood, made me want to go on adventures etc.

I bought the HD remake and honestly I sort of get what you're saying. Obviously I had a huge lens of nostalgia to play through, but it really is a game for kids. Its not challenging at all and the sailing gets repetitive (bloody goron trading sidequest) but the story and characterisation are great.

They're really not dangerous at all if they're alone. The beam is their only attack, so all you have to do is get close and interrupt the beam whenever it's charging. You can even cut their legs off. Or just parry the beam. The timing is super easy.

If you do not have master sword or guardian weapons yet avoid them if you don't have a lot of experience yet.

In general try to reflect their shots by a parrying if you are good enough. Hitting them with that 3 times kills them.
For normal fights shoot their eye or use stasis+ to stun them to get near them and then try to slice of their legs so that they don't run away anymore.
To finish them of repeat stunning and hitting

It would be arbitrary. Every "hearty" ingredient you add to a dish would count as another 1 or 2 "weight units". 5 Durians would weigh 10 pounds as a meal.

This might confuse somebody so I'll elaborate. It's a common opinion that hearty food wasn't overpowered during development and that it was simply going to be the kind of food that granted bonus HP if you were already at full. But then they probably decided that casuals/idiots wouldn't be able to understand the overheal system like that so they tied every yellow heart to a full heal. Same goes for temporary stamina.

Link can slow down time when he dodges perfectly

Urbosa can unleash lightning on you as she fights and her fighting style has been described as akin to dancing. Her weapon also does 2 damage more than the unawakened Master Sword and her Shield is pretty high durability

I think Link wins because if he dodges just one attack he'll unleash a finishing combo on her but if he lets her hit her stride it'll be tough fight at least Major Test of Strength maybe even Red Haired Lynel

I disagree. Many, many shrines have easy workarounds (looking at you electricity shrines), but this one is so fucking easy that it doesn't really matter how you do it and I don't think the design pushes a specific solution. Doing it the obvious way actually has some advantages because the hallway the ball rolls down lines you up, whereas when you flip it the ball can easily roll off course.

It took me two tries to do it the "dumb" way on the Switch, which has worse motion controls than the Wii U. Once again I'm amazed how much everyone except me sucks at motion controls. The controls are kind of ghetto, but you just press Cancel and reposition your controller once or twice during the puzzle and it's fine. It's SS all over again the way you're all struggling with something that's easily managed with half a brain.

I spent maybe 10 minutes on it. You want to talk about bullshit, try to get the Giant Ancient Core in the golf shrine without looking anything up.
