IFI has been my favorite solely because of Trillion's LE. The quality of the artbook, packaging and everything else was awesome, and having the reversible cover also helped. NISA's artbooks and soundtracks tend to be quite useless in the end, not counting the artbook of Grand Kingdom. That one was great. PQube has also been pretty legit with their LE stuff.

As for the bonus question, I think NISA's handling that side pretty well. Pretty much because they are the only company outside Nintendo (and even they just do it for Fire Emblem games) doing stuff like that.

Yes. Everyone is complaining about it. The only work around is to enable dev mode to move your character past the spot where it's crashing.
It's literally one stair case on the way to a mandatory boss VERY close to the end of the game.
Other than that (and the elimination of the co-op) it's the same game as it is on the PS4 and PC.

Yes, but you can't get past the Salt Alkymancery due to crashes.
Bug fix should be out shortly according to the devs, but who knows how long it'll really be.
It's a shame because it played fantastically up until you get to one staircase that crashes the game.

It affects some stats, your weapon's damage won't be affected by your persona's strength stat (that only affects its physical attacks) but your ability to tank damage and turn order is affected by its Endurance and Agility stats.

I got interested in the game when I watched plague of gripes stream it. I would love a souls game on the vita and salt house is filling in for it for now. An anon threw around the idea of porting demon souls. But I don't think a demon souls port would work great on the vita.

I think fromsoft would need to design a game around the vita itself rather than port one of their existing titles for it because frame rate has always been an issue with thier games until dark dark 2 and 3. But those have their own set of problems.

My extensive experience with demon souls is youtube footage. I know about boletaria, I know about the butcher killing everyone in the nexus, I know about the flying stingrays that spawned the gimmick sword. I know about the world tendency, and that you had to farm for healing items.

I don't need to be an expert on the game itself to say from technical stand point it would be a bad idea. If that game had to be ported to anything, it would be to current consoles and pc because they have better hardware and you wouldn't need to redesign the game around them.

I am telling you, a brand new game than a port would be a much better idea.

The Worlds are sectioned off and then the Levels in the World are sectioned off, the latter just without loading.
The simple solution is to simply add loading to an already there Level section.

Freedom wars suffers from the problem where if you don't have any good weapons, you will feel useless in fights. Upon my first playthrough, it felt like I was shooting rubber most of the time, and had to use melee to inflict any meaningful damage.

SSD does this better by constantly throwing you a mishmash of spells and use elemental weaknesses. So by using fire against a certain type, you are guarantee to do more damage even though the spell itself is pretty lousy in dps.

It's more about finding a hunting game that fits you, im a phantasy star player and im forced to make due with whats there seeing as my favorite game will never be localized and is essentially dead to the world wide audience because of the shitload of licensing issues.

The last Phantasy Star game I played was PSO2 about 2-3 years ago, and I did enjoy that for the most part.
