She only works in QG decks.
Now, you have to think, how can you make QG decks work?

Easy peasy, don't play against Monsters, since they'll eat/steal your GY, don't play against NG, cause they Vicovaro medics will eat you alive and don't play against NR, since they can overpower you easily and get a 2-0 on you.

The rest is incredibly easy.
IMO, a QG deck destroys any ST deck, since they don't have enough removal and they can't put more points than you in the game.

Why does every monster consume deck includes 1-2 Griffin?

I get that it is used to steal some high value target from opponents graveyard but Ghouls/Katakan/Caretaker already does that and it is extremely situational since not every deck you're playing against has something worth using it on. I'm I missing something here?

A lot of people are running with 1 First light and even when you meet someone with 2 or more way to remove Weather CA is always a thing.

I am running my Weather with Dagon + Skellige Storm + Aeromancy , 2x Fog, Caranthir and Woodland.

Then Ocvist, Avalac'h and Ciri.

I found that often having the last play gives you enough of a swing to win the match.

Note, it's still harder than last patch, but it's not impossible if you are prepared and know how to fight against the meta Decks.

I started to have again good result with weather this patch when I changed my playstile and be more active with Weather instead of just waiting for the last turn play.

Vilgefortz seems like one of the few truly evil characters.

There is just no evil overlord in the series, everything is shades of gray. The aen elle are depicted as huge assholes though. But their reasons and means are very justifyable. Basically, they are trying to save their brother folk aen siedhe from a dying shitty world and retain the power stolen from them. Eredin did nothing wrong. It's just his king who couldn't get his penis up for a teenage girl.

Not really. I play ST cause they are the ones that have the most interesting moves while not being overused.
I mean, I play Malena for fucks sake.

Most of the ST I find are Brouver Hoog buffing ambush cards. Or Brouver playing dwarfs, going all in in the first round and just praying to win the second.

NR was my favourite faction, but now they are all Henselt of Foltest copy, which gets boring. I have a Radovid deck thou.

Other than that, all I find are Monsters consume.

Yeah, the thought process that happens during your turns is much different since there's no face or minions to hit (if you don't count lowering strength).
Of course there's complaints to be had by some (stale meta, weather/ambush mechanics, etc.), but it's still a small card pool in closed beta which is a convenient excuse. Hopefully it won't just be another digital CCG that'll fall by the wayside since it's CDPR behind it.

I don't play much Skellige, but Sigdrifa is always core I believe. You can put Roach in Svanrige's place, and you probably only want one of Donar or Birna. Someone else can weigh in a better opinion.

Hearthstone player here (f2p'er since Naxx release, September 2014 I believe), *FINALLY* got a closed beta key today. Watched a few videos of Lifecoach and Noxious and I'm pretty hype.

I've only just completed the tutorial, I'm just wondering if someone could give me a quick run-down of how things work for this game, compared to HS if possible? Like daily quests (i.e. how you get f2p gold, do they give you a new thing to do every day, etc), what are good decks for a complete beginner, etc? I mostly just want to get to the point where I can begin building my collection for free, if I can do that I'll be happy. I don't know what cards are good or bad like in HS you'd generally recommend something like hunter or mage for new players since they're pretty cheap to make and have a lot of good basics you just get from the get-go.

Is there any word of a date for when the full game will be released? I have high hopes for it, I'm sick of the RNG shitfest of Hearthstone.

Finally got enough dust to craft Dandelion, TREBUCHETS CANNOT BE STOPPED.

They totally can, but it's what I was closest toward with what I got from my packs and it's pretty fun. The more I play the better I get at it too. Starting to appreciate Foltest's power more than just doubling some huge dude that will immediately get the pair of them scorched, it's generally better to spread the love and/or double shit like field medics for the instant gratification.

Sure hope this shit gets a decent playerbase once it goes open/released, enjoying the shit out of it. I also like how much of it is based on strategy, there's relatively little RNG involved in the cards themselves (Can get fucked by what you pull with a rally or what a graveyard fucking dude does but those are almost never game swinging by themselves unless you're going into a round 3 topdeck fight) and even the RNG from card draw is minimized due to how much deck manipulation and even straight up tutors you can run, and you don't even have manascrew to deal with like MTG. And despite the minimal random chance there's still a lot on the line almost every game based on plays and counterplays.

Anyone heard if they're planning to put Gwent on Steam? I would think they would do the dumb thing and leave it on GoG Galaxy, but since they put the Witcher games on there maybe they have enough business sense to throw it on Steam.

Yeah, this is a good beginner lesson to learn to avoid Scorch shenanigans. Not following the tried and true resource system (lands/mana) is an interesting take.

CDPR has mentioned in a post before that upon official release they want it to also be on Steam. I think if they want to go the mobile route, at the most tablets seem fine. I can't imagine the board working on smartphones unless they give it a new look. I also hope if they do go mobile that it doesn't restrict the design space like it does other CCGs.

Speaking of scorch, I started running dimeritium bomb instead of it. Seems a little more reliably usable. Scorch can absolutely blow people out, but it can also be a dead card if you've got the fattest shit on board. Dimeritium bomb can shut down warcry Skellige, huge nilfs, giant devour monsters, etc. And can be used defensively to boost up your dudes if you get hit with a lacerate or something. Plus it's more reliable in treb Foltest especially since your opponent will have a lot of scattered numbers due to the constant pinging.

Glad to hear they're planning on bringing it to Steam though. For a free to play card game it probably isn't as important sales-wise but given things usually tend to sell like 9 to 1 on Steam vs non-Steam copies it'll probably give them a good bump. Also agree with what you're saying about mobile, would be a little bit hard to wrap your head around on a phone.

I played a couple hours of the game with the starter decks a while ago, but the game really turned me off with how often we would end up tied after using all of our cards in the first two rounds, and then the whole match was decided by who drew the bigger card at the start of the third round. I ignored Gwent on my first playthrough because it seemed lore-breaking.
Loved it in my second playthrough, but I barely got further than Novigrad before I stopped playing for a number of reasons.
Finally finished the books last week and really wanted to restart TW3. But now I have this.

Replace one Reaver Scout with KoB. Get rid of Prize-Winning Cow if you have another silver to take its place to guarantee it pulling Reaver Scout or Priscilla. It makes a minimum 5 point play plus whatever you pull with Priscilla, or for example, Reaver Scout -> Field Medic -> resurrected unit.

If you have no more Reaver Scouts left and you know you still have Priscilla in your deck, Nenneke into KoB then Priscilla can be a strong play if the opponent has card advantage over you. Assuming, like you mentioned, you don't want or need to rez Dandelion or a Reinforced Trebuchet.

KoB is a really valued card for its thinning aspect plus "guaranteed draw" if you have a gameplan.

Yeah, I can't tell you how many times Shani into treb on round 3 has won the game for me. Using her on KoB would be far less likely since I almost always save her for round 3 unless I'm going for a blowout, but it's definitely possible.

The key is to not burn yourselves out. I had a lot of fun while working up to a meta deck to grind ranks with. Once I actually had what I wanted and began to ladder into other meta decks I had to take a step back and only play up to the tier 1 daily each day.
