Winrate is actually a bad indicator of skill. It's easy for someone to get carried by two skilled individuals in a stack. In Steel Ocean most premiums have strengths, but also weaknesses to keep those strengths balanced sort of thing.
In the case of the Ise BBV, you lose a few guns, some secondaries and a bit of armor but gain access to planes and increased AA.

It can be used as a purely scout ship, in which case you get loads of scouts which is rather nice. Can be a pain in the ass at times to fight against

But I would recommend trying to play CV's before deciding on the ship. Because if you can't stand CV gameplay, you would be missing out on the Ise's full potential.

Though again, you could just use it as a BB with a lot of scouts


It is definitely a solid choice, and you could get it without touching CV's in the slightest of course. But if you are able to remove targets with torpedo bombers with relative accuracy. You can remove subs, or other targets that might be seen, but out of range of your cannons, and she can be a monster.

Well I do hope you let the scattering circle become smaller (the green dotted circle). Otherwise it's all prediction. I think the scale on the crosshair is made to hit a target going in a straight line at about 30 knots. DDs in low tier will be 35-40 knots. Also hitting a DD as a BB at a distance greater than 4.5km is pretty hard if he tries to even slightly dodge. Sucks in low tier where everything is a DD.

Well, the same. But your scattering circle should line up with the path of your target ship. Also I hope you're not trying to use BB main artillery in non hawkeye mode. Also note that simply pressing shift doesn't get you maximum zoom in either mode. You have to use mouse wheel for even more zoom

Hatsuharu is shit. Some DDs have great guns, some don't. At early tiers you can be a gunboat but later your job is spotting, not using your guns.
This game gives great XP for spotting unlike wows so don't think you need to be dealing big damage or any damage whatsoever to get big XP. I've got a lot of 0 damage MVPs with the lafogoy.

As anon says, this game rewards spotting quite well.

And you can see I, with only 2.6k damage, beat the guy listed as "3rd for damage dealt" on the team and two others who also had more damage than me.

Also see how much XP the final result wound up as. You get 300% gains on the first win of the day each ship, AND there is a "first 8 wins each day provide 200% gains" and they stack.

And VIP timed which is 50% gains, which I didn't pay for, but obtained for the 4th day in a row of logging in. And that also stacks a bit with the other bonuses.

But yeah, goofing off netted me 4th place on the team since my 'goofing off bullying an enemy sub' was providing spotting of other ships.

You can get out of the T1 in a decent win and never look back. And be sure to claim the free port slots on the DLC area of SO's steam page. Thanksgiving and anniversary packs. "Storage, Non-battle items" area in game.

I did try medium, while testing to see how high I could get, and it seemed like it got really choppy. But I'll give it another test and see. Minimum is too ugly to play (doesn't even show if your ship's on fire I think) and didn't even really improve from Low, so I'll try a game on Medium; if it's still unplayable, Low it'll be. I can live with PS2 graphics.

And yeah I got the free DLC stuff, which is pretty nice. I probably will just go through those destroyers, unlock the stuff, then sell them off to clean up some more space. I don't even know what kind of bote I want yet.

I'd highly recommend getting to T4 in each ship line, which takes little to no effort. They added in commander rewards for hitting those tiers.

But Japanese CA's tend to do quite well until a certain boat if CV's are involved in the match.

Fuck no, you can reach T4 in a couple of hours upgrading EVERYTHING before going up. Silver is never an issue until T9/10 and only if you are bad. You can reach T8 in less than a week playing normally/not putting much effort.

Dicking about doing almost nothing in a T5 Competition/TDM match netted me 4th place on the team. with 6k XP and 132k silver.

And a quick glance over the tech-trees lets you know relatively how much XP and silver is needed, not counting modules and such of course.
