to elaborate: you need a shitload of boosts to get mama done in 3 runs (full party, installs, 125, 250, drink effect, tree, LR3). You then need to run train gidoran suppression and riding quests until you fill the other gauges, and then when you're clear, it costs 60sg per file to reset.

This isn't taking into account the amount of money you'd need to spend in order to get the triggers themselves, which would cost you 200sg each, and the reset cost caps at 450SG/reset.

First potential boosts affix success for itself by 10%

Second potential is this party bonus thing, I forget the details

The third potential (which requires those extra booster item things from the boss, iirc) ties in the first, it doubles all numerical stat boosts from what you've affixed to it (ATK/DEF, etc., but not % bonuses like Phrase Weak)

As far as we know, this does mean that even optimistically speaking their raw damage will probably end up lower, however, it should also double HP and PP bonuses as well, which might be a reasonable tradeoff.

Go to shortcut works and write /mpalX (X being whatever number the weapon you want is on) and /sr Y (Y being the skill ring you want to switch to) in the same shortcut. Then just hit the relevant shortcut whenever you want to switch weapons/rings.

KC hit up at +20 effectivly halves the number of hits required to get maximum damage from combat finish. Meaning you only have to do 25 hits instead of 50, which works out nice since that's easily achievable with endo and gekka.

This is the exact same system that was introduced which killed the last f2p mmo I played. Because the amount of people in this game who get to actually feel that is fucking microscopic. There's no progression in this game that actually feels good. They hand out 13* with CF so who gives a fuck if you get an astra to drop (something I haven't even experienced myself). Meanwhile, the only things worth a shit are both gated behind an EQ so you can't farm them without triggers or having a very flexibile schedule with absolute piss poor drop rates. Under 500 14* have dropped since they were added to the game. I haven't had a usable drop for the entirety of 2017, not even a 12* unit. I spent over half a year doing UQ Nab/Lillipa with literally nothing to show for it but I'd still rather have that than EQ garbage. I wonder why I still play this game since there's never a release that ever makes grinding feel good.

So let me get this straight. This week which boosts your drops and allows you to receive the highest drop rate allowed in the game. And the week where I have ran close to 50+ esca mothers through triggers and emergency quests. And yet, I still haven't seen a single Astra unit, 14* or even 13*.

I'm starting to think that there is no point in trying anymore. When the week is over my chances will never be this high again and I will most likely never have the opportunity to run the same amount of quests again.

If I didn't get it in 50 attempts, there is no way I would get it in the 1-2 EQs a day. I ran over a months worth of EQs in a week with the highest drop rate and still got jack shit.

Why are people playing this game?

I've been leveling Bo/Hu with JB & DB, and it's been pretty fun but my build is probably a mess. I'm having trouble deciding on whether to use Break Stance, Elemental, or both. I see a lot of recommendations for Elemental stance, but since I can't use a full set of DB I'm not sure what's good.

The reason why people play despite the godawful drop rates is because everyone wants to be "that guy" who gets lucky with drops, even though the chances of that happening to a single person are infinitesimal.

This problem would be solved by introducing CFs for 12* units and 14* weapons. I wouldn't mind if it took a very long time or a difficult challenge (e.g. S-ranking solo PD or H&H 6-10) to fill the gauge, at least it would feel more hopeful and instill a sense of progression rather than an endless rare drop hunt.

Multiplying 0.0001 by +250% is still pretty low, anon. Boost week is mostly a placebo for anything that rare as the odds are so low to begin with. 13* is more unfortunate but those rates are pretty low too, they're just still high enough that they exist. Only around 20-25 14* drop across all ships per week normally, no one should have expected to get one on boost week.

Yes and no. Talis is better for burst while rod is better for sustain. This is why you often see people use talis for Ice because the only good ice tech is Ilbarta and the only hits that matter are the final ones. Meanwhile if you get to spam ragrants for 15 seconds straight, rod is better. On something like Mother chest rod is better because of all the talis throws you don't have to do. There's also the fact that a lot of techs are hard to aim on talis (or even impossible, why are you like this Nafoie.)

It gets more complicated than this because while I'm making rod sound much better, talis is still a good weapon thanks to the utility it provides being able to cast from a remote point. There's no simple answer and in many cases, such as for light, you realistically want both a rod and talis.

-Light: Rod and Talis
-Fire: Rod, Talis is ok for Gifoie stuff but Rod is much better
-Dark: Rod only, some techs don't play nice with Talis. Dark is sort of a dead element but Fomelgion scales off dark more than it does fire so it can at least be your fomelgion stat stick
-Ice: Talis only, techs that aren't Ilbarta just aren't strong enough to deserve rod.
-Lightning: I don't have strong opinions one way or another though I lean towards Talis
-Wind: Rod only

Endless rare drop hunt is sort of in the spirit of the original pso so that's why it's still a thing. The difference is that good drops in pso1 weren't gated behind a terrible scheduled EQ system. You used to be able to log on whenever you wanted and do some casual solo grinding to decompress after the day and still have a shot at great gear. Now it's EQs or you're wasting your time.

It's the evolution of an old school leveling method. You go to urban AQ and trigger a pse burst near the exit of the level. The enemies only have a few spawn points that you can camp and spawn immediately once you take care of the current spawns. You just place popple territory over the spawns and you gain tens of thousands of exp per second.

On a unit I can't be assed to estimate the associated costs, but it would be horribly expensive. None of those affixes (save for elegant) are going to play well with each other; as far as I'm aware you'll need at least 3 copies of each to guarantee affixing on any of them (save for the soul, which requires 2), even during boost week. Which means 17 affixes across your fodder, roughly 3 each. Then Stigma and Escarde Soul are the only affixes I imagine being reasonably priced to begin with.

Perhaps someone could enlighten me, but I can't imagine why you'd even use that set of affixes to begin with. Surely you could come up with a better 6 affix solution at that cost.
