I found one that allows me to change classes, levels, XP, stats, and added movement, but I can't find one that allows me to add skills or edit my convoy easily. Saizou and Kagerou. Kagerou does Kaze's job better than him because Sorcs are actually quite bulky for spellcasters and her higher Atk means she can also hurt other units and use the Sting Shuriken well. Saizou has a lot of bulk so he will be the most physically durable Ninja and his high Lck and decent Spd lets him dodge attacks more often. He will be inconsistent when it comes to dealing with Mages which is why you should have a second Ninja to deal with them which is why I recommend Kagerou. They're also pretty much canon and works well together in combat as well as in the bedroom since you get a pretty sweet Asugi out of them too.

However, Midori is cuter than Asugi and it never hurts to have more Shuriken users so Kaze is by no means worthless.

You need a dedicated unit to kill Mages and Saizou isn't very good at it in that if he fails to dodge he will take massive damage compared to the other two. Kagerou also has more Str so she will be able to reach the Str threshold to severely hurt other types of enemies too, especially bulky ones like Generals or Great Knights. Saizou's Spd is also a bit coinflippy but since it's Birthright he won't be too screwed since enemies' Spd is fairly low.

1) Xander...will probably be the best red cavalier, I'm sorry to say. Especially over my Eldigan who I'm going to make better no matter what. Leo is alright if you want THREE, DIFFERENTLY COLORED BLADE TOMES and you can afford Hone/Hone/Fortify at least. Having a red at all is still p good idea.
2) If you're like me, you don't get rid of units you only have 1 of. I understand the reluctance to decide who to pass Hone/Fortify/Ward on to if you don't have multiples.

Waiting on Xander is a good idea if you don't have an Eldigan or Eliwood you want.
Having multiple old men to pass skills along on deck is a good idea.
Not have the "+" tomes from 5* makes very, very little difference, especially on the "blades." Besides, you can always give them 5* Blade+ tomes later if you want/can.

You do get to remake your avatar, but I dunno about the level and stat gains of that avatar. you might reuse stat gains from your first run, or it might give you some standardized (likely averaged) stat gains and levelling from your first run. So tell me about Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. Is it anything like Ogre Battle? I'm ready for a tactical game but I don't want to get too into the weeds on a portable game. I prefer them to be simple enough to pick up for an hour or so at a time.

The (weapon)faire skills are so underwhelming, man. They're at level 15 for classes that mostly or entirely dedicate themselves to that weapon, so they're treated like important skills, but by the time you get any of them +5 damage doesn't even come close to living up the skill's implied prestige. They're just not that useful, so much so that they're never even considered in minmaxed skill setups unless the unit has nothing better to use.

They should give a substantial hit/crit bonus when weilding their respective weapon, or perhaps instead nullify penalties of weapon disadvantage while doubling advantage boosts.

+5 damage is just so little in comparison to the damage your unit's already doing by the time you have to ask yourself if you want to keep it equipped. Hit, on the other hand, needs to be kept up if you want to do any damage at all and +30 or whatever to deal with agaile enemies or weapon disadvantage can really make a unit much more versatile.

The crit was more for the idea of what (weapon)faire should be than usefulness, because the skill really should have something to do with the idea that the character has mastered the weapon so well that s/he's a force of nature with it in hand.

Alright brace yourselves, we're gettin into the cringey world of fan OC. Specifically, classes. Since I never felt any reason to class anyone as mechanists outside of whoring replicate, I figured I'd come up with a replacement for it. Specifically an alternate progression of ninja that wields shuriken and magic. It has a nonzero magic stat/growth to complement use of magic, but slightly lower strength/spd in comparison to master ninja (Jonin in nip I think) to keep things balanced.

Level 5 skill is something about hiding-in-plain-sight and guaruntees that enemy won't attack the unit if "wait" command is used in player phase, 15 is some naruto shadow clone bullshit that's really just a replicate ripoff of some kind. To compensate for all that utility Str, Mag, and Def would be quite low and spd/Res lacking in comparison to Jonin alternative/base ninja. I'm terrible with naming anything but I figure it should be called "shinobi" sinse we're kinda getting into naruto-style bullshit. Shit, maybe this was a mistake then.
