I was literally the only one to die as Reinhardt, multiple times, I guess I still have a long way to go.

As we approach the one year anniversary I think it's time I give you guys the big enchilada

>the game is unplayable without a competent team, no hero with a few exceptions can be played without 5 others on the same page
>Hanamura, Annubis, and the other chokepoint maps are dreadful and claustrophobic
>the most fun heroes (Genji, Tracer, Widow, etc) are the least competitively viable
>Ana, Sombra, and Orissa should not have included in the game
>Roadhog should not have been included in the game
>Pharmacy should not have been included in the game
>you can master most heroes with the exception of a few (Widow, Genji, McCree, etc) in ~10 hours
>playing in a 6 stack is vastly superior to not doing so, as most people lack even the most basic game sense
>if you want to climb solo queue you have to play whatever is needed, not who you want to play
>you have to play comp even if you don't care about winning since qp is a clusterfuck
>sr is rarely related to skill, it is related to teamwork
>in general the only way to play is very conservatively, since almost everything in the game can instantly kill you
>koreans are usually really annoying
>the memes and porn are about 15% better than the actual gameplay

I fucking hate this game because I can never play the hero I want. I'm always stuck playing Zenyatta which is a fun hero with a high skill cap who provides a lot to the team but sometimes I want to play Hanzo who I think is far and away the most fun and rewarding mechanically but I'm always fucking meme'd into oblivion and the stigma toward that character is so off putting. I also want to play Torbjorn but he's only viable on Defense and even then, me playing Zenyatta is almost always going to result in a win.

I really wish that they were able to make Titan work because Overwatch is just lacking in actual content aside from just shooting shit and even that comes with the huge caveat that you're never able to shoot shit the way that you want to.

It's Spring break in a lot of areas too, so you've got to deal with that. You can tell there are a ton more kids, a lot more genji, hanzo, etc, on top of the 13 year olds on mic.

Plus you can always tell by comp, like d.va + roadhog on payload attack, etc... completely unaware without a shield DPS is less effective and healers get mowed down quicker.

Basically just been healing so I don't care as much at the end of the game until next week.

Just straight up fucking run away from Tracers or if you can't, just die quickly so you can respawn faster. Killing a Tracer as Zenyatta takes a fucking miracle.

However, Genji isn't that hard. You are both projectile and you even have a higher DPS than him. Don't let him get his ebin deflect+cancel+dash+180 noscope M2 shuruken combo, and you are set.

99,9% of Genjis will deflect while staring at you and then cancel it with dash instantly and jump over your head. Seek nearest cover when you see him deflecting while looking at you so he can't dash through you for free 50 damage. The rest should be a relatively fair fight.

I usually watch what the comp is. If it's mostly flankers, I just use Winston instead of Reinhardt when it's 1 healer and the rest DPS. If there's more slower characters I just use Reinhardt.

It usually works out in pubs.

Communicate with your team.

Get a good mic and just talk, you're the person who should be calling out stuff constantly, like telling your team to regroup, when you're putting down your shield, when it's getting low on HP, countdown before every choke point push, call out flankers and enemies you see that your team might've missed, etc. Rein is --easy-- enough to play, you only need teamwork.
